Hope you all do not mind me posting these here -- I sometimes feel like a macon.com adman, but I think Coley does a good job with the stories, and these are some nice stories of some of our skilled players.

Tech’s Thomas carrying Melton under his wing

This past year, Bay-Bay was the primary option in the passing game, so he’s really going to be getting a lot of attention coming into the season, but on the whole, I know have to step up on the backhand side now,” Melton said. “I’m going to be getting a lot of one-on-one man-to-man opportunities, and I have to take advantage of as many of those as I can.”

Tech transfer Allen battle-tested, battle-ready

Listed on the Yellow Jackets’ preliminary spring roster as an A-back, Allen is expected to add serious size, strength and experience to the team’s backfield. A former high school star from Tampa, Fla., Allen was part of a multi-pronged rushing attack at Louisville that provided a sense of balance to the Cardinals’ prolific passing offense.

Skirmishes a part of Tech workout
Cord Howard, an offensive lineman who sat out Monday’s practice with an apparent injury, returned to action Wednesday, lining up during both position and team drills.
With his return, Dublin native Nick McRae — who filled in for Howard on Monday by playing at right guard — went back to his usual position at center.

Fine by me, these articles rarely show up in my Google New Reader. And you're right, Coley does a fantastic job covering GT.
