McCoy a jacket

Hopefully we can be a little more posiive in the future about our S/A. That's the classy thing to do!

Yeah, sorry, that was meant more to be a comment on the CS program than the SA. By senior year I was regularly pulling two all nighters a week and I can't imagine mixing in a D1 sport with that. If he can do that, more power to him. But it will probably be a PJ Daniels situation...didn't he come in as a Chem major but when he walked on he ended up having to switch it to a Chem minor?

NP, I think it's a huge undertaking as well and that's coming from a IMGT guy. I don't see how the guys do it with todays demands. It was hard in the 80's and I think much much much harder today.

I remember a football player in one of my senior ME labs (forget his name). He was a walk-on, but he had the same schedule the regular players have. It can be done, but you would have to be really, really efficient with your time and make sure you don't take any of the really bad courses during the fall.

our FB on the 90 team was a 3.+ EE and his name was Steffen Scotton

Yes, it would be near impossible to be a great football player and finish a degree in 8 semesters. However there is no reason for them to do that. They get summers paid for so if they choose to have a tough major they just have to go summers.

So instead of 8 you get 11 right there and if you redshirt you will have 14. If you can't spread out the tough classes enough to finish in 14 well...

I think the coolest thing about getting a commitment from someone this good this early is the snowball effect it could have on our class.

I still look in awe at this guys list of offers and interested parties. Imagine how much that list might have grown with a good senior season.

It's possible, given summer semesters and such, but to stick with a project heavy major like CS you'd have to have a real passion and talent for it to stick with it along with D1 sport. That said, more power to the kid, hope he gets out with honors and a first round draft pick waiting on him

That's what I told a mutt the other day when he said, "Yeah he has a nice offer list... but UGA(g) ain't on it."

From what I understand, the mutts have recently been in contact with him... Don't know if its true or not.

Anyway, I told him, "Nope, but two teams that beat the gaggers are on it and one of them got him."

Stupid, highfalutin nadlickers!
