“I feel good about our football team,” Johnson said. That is what the folks at Marist came to hear.

And the former players, for the first time in a while, are all on the same page.

“How can you not be confident when you’re listening to Coach Johnson?” Taz Anderson said. “He knows what he’s talking about.”

At the end of the evening Michael Flint, President of the NAF, presented Johnson with a sizeable check to show the appreciation of the group. They wanted to make it out to Johnson’s favorite charity. Johnson announced that tonight his favorite charity was the NAF and handed the check right back to Flint.

Georgia Tech is back. The rivalry with Georgia is back. This is going to be fun.

Mover gets a plug in it!

Here’s who else was there and this is the part that really impressed me. There to show their support of Johnson were some of the greatest players in Georgia Tech history: RB Leon Hardeman, one of six All-Americans on the 1952 national championship team; All-America OL John Davis who once, as emcee Wes Durham pointed out, pushed Clemson’s “Refrigerator” Perry around Bobby Dodd Stadium like he was on training wheels; Jim Woods, an outstanding player under Pepper Rodgers; Randy Rhino, the only three-time All-American in school history; Taz Anderson, a member of the Georgia Tech Hall of Fame and the State of Georgia Sports Hall of Fame; Ryan Stewart, a former captain at Georgia Tech who has gone on to radio fame.

We desperately need a "blowing my brains out" emoticon.

Sorry I missed that. CPJ is class all the way. Fire and class.

Look out pups. We're coming to get you.

Love the part about the Waffle House waitress.

Johnsons attitude seems to fit into the GT mold very well.
