We just moved, and I was without the internet for a few days, so everyone please forgive me if this has already been posted (guess I could go through all the threads and read, but I'm a little lazy for that).

A friend of mine just told me that he attended the last Lunch Bunch, and Coach Johnson was the speaker. During the Q & A, someone asked him how our kicking game, and particularly our punting, is coming along. His answer: "We don't plan to punt".

Since I'm getting this second-hand, it may not be accurate, but if it is: You gotta love the attitude.

I believe the full answer was something like:

"We're going to try not to. But if we do, Scott Blair is back, and we've got a new guy who has a strong leg but takes forever to kick the ball." There's a few lengthy reports from Lunch Bunch in other places...

Who ever intends to punt? And for that matter who ever intends to kick a field goal or turn the ball over?

4th and yards to go from your side of the field? Ya need a punter.

I didn't have a lot of confidence either but I was drinking the CPJ koolade and before the game I was drinking everything in site.

The CPJ koolade still tastes rather well, since you know it ages well.

Erm... You get the idea.
