"Efforts to match UCLA in a nationally televised game against Auburn to open the 2010 season fell apart when Auburn officials decided against the matchup, which was to be played in the Georgia Dome.

ABC was attempting to broker a deal for the game, which would have replaced one against Kansas State on the Bruins' schedule.

UCLA was offered a game against Georgia Tech instead but declined."

I really don't think anyone wants to tangle with us if they don't have to, and I don't blame them. They are pansies though. They need to come East, get their ass kicked and go back home.

Why would they come here when they can stay home and play patsies (except for USC)?

They clearly haven't paid attention to our track record in the Dome.

That seems like a rather ignorant thing to say. Outside of Rice and SDSU (still D-I opponents) everyone has been a BCS team or a non-BCS power like Fresno State, BYU and Utah. Having a team who will take on others like this turn us down actually means something. Although, I would've liked to get something that would let us travel to LA for a game.

Well stated--come on UCLA--get some! :laugher:

I was gonna at least try lighten their shade of yellowness on this issue by saying they were afraid of what happened to cal last year playin a noon game at maryland, but then realized that if ucla were to come play us in the dome as a season opener it would def be a night game........ so ucla just lives in fear.... GOOD
