Rubbish. The talent no better or worse now than any time in last 15 years. Collins was a clown and CPJ was simply a winner.
Agreed. This roster top to bottom is about the same as the roster CPJ left talent wise. The difference is that I think Key can coach and is putting together a staff than get us back to bowl eligible, potentially this year. If GT wins this year the juice crew will want to credit the clown for the roster talent though. Most of the top talent the clown did recruit left and is playing somewhere else now.

That's not unbiased data. That's opinion being presented as data via recruit-ranking pseudoscience. That stuff is intended to generate buzz and sell subscriptions, making it akin to a football tabloid.

Unbiased data is:
2016: 9-4
2022: 5-7

Where are you seeing there is one ööööing person on this board that is part of your imaginary "juice crew" that is still on the Collins bandwagon? I get it, you want the board to be all CPJ, all the time, but it is time to move along. Nobody is going to look at Zach Pyron and say he was part of this imaginary "juice crew" you have manifested in your mind as a way to get back at CPJ.

Our roster has flipped significantly just in the offseason. LB's, new WR's, new TE, a new QB on the roster....this is no longer Collins team and by 2024, I doubt there is much roster resemblance at all to what existed when Collins was coach.

That has absolutely nothing do with the question and results doesn’t always reflect the talent. It’s pseudoscience to some of y’all bc it doesn’t align with your narrative. I guess y’all would also try to convince that UGA talent didn’t increase either

Collins did not significantly improve the talent level, except maybe slightly in his first year. Look at the ratings.
.86__ vs .84__ is not significant improvement. CGC's mantra about elite recruiting was not aimed at the portal. There have been a few hits from the portal, but also many misses.

Lol it’s only the difference btw 20 spots. Next y’all will say being ranked 4th vs. 5th in the CFB playoffs is not improvement

Please show me how anyone, especially amateurs, can differentiate between HS players (or any player, for that matter) to 4 decimal granularity with any sort of statistical validity. It's not possible.

Don't really care about the past coaches aspect, talking abou water under bridge. Only care about where we are NOW.

IMO we are coming along in the trenches and it's the single most important aspect of the program improving. I thought the OL would struggle mightily last year and they did. My hope was that we'd see improvement in the second half of the season and we did, though we are not there yet by any means. I do think we are ready to take the next step on the OL and that is exciting.

DL Keon White was finally healthy and the group as a whole is also maturing. Allowed our 2 good backers to excel last yea. Secondary benefited from actually having a pass rush and coaching that got guys on the same page. We lose White obviously but have some interior guys returning who are solid, and have some young DL who were highly regarded.

IMO how good we are next year will largely depend on continued progress on both lines. Skill position-wise we have guys who can get it done.

You can if you factor in degrees of freedom, margin of error, fudge factoring, and guesstimation

A functioning QB for 12 games would help.
