Avatar "Subtitle"?

Since there are "boring off season threads", I figured this would be a good time to ask a pretty basic question. What is the significance to the 'subtitles' under everyone's avatar? I'm guessing it has to do with # of posts, and if so, what are the ranges for each one? These are what I've seen thus far:
Flats Noob -
Damn Good Rat -
Jolly Good Fellow -
Dodd-Like -
Varsity Lurker -
Helluva Engineer -

Yes, by default these are determined by the # of posts, though I think an Admin can override anyones to say whatever they want it to... I think Beestorm's say something to the effect that he is the moderator of the site.

Those are my anecdotal observations of the different thresholds.
