daniel drummond

This kid is going to be a stud. It sounds like he could play a number of different positions really well with size and strength like that!

We really found a true gem in Daniel! This kid can play LB, DE, B-Back, or hell even OL! When he is a redshirt Freshmen, he will bulldoze over everyone. I would be scared to even try and tackle him. It is truly amazing the type of backfield we are going to have! I mean you have Dwyer, Allen, Jones, Cox, Wright, Peeples, Watson, Lyons (this kid is special), and Orwin Smith. If Jemea ends up at A-back, he could be a real player. Once we get our Oline together, watch out!

Drummond will score touchdowns in 2009

maybe for the scout team. don't get me wrong, he's as physically ready as a freshman can be but we're way too loaded for somebody with the redshirting philosophy of Paul Johnson for him to see the field barring significant injuries

At that size, they definitely will be grooming him to be a stud DE

This kid could end up being to us what Owen Schmidt was to West Virginia. That guy was a beast!!

He's not playing DE... He's too good running the ball.

The only way I see him playing DE is if we end up with some serious depth issues there in the future. As of now, that's not really a problem.

DE depth:

Chris Crenshaw
Izaan Cross
Euclid Cummings
Emmanuel Dieke
Anthony Egbuniwe
Bob Hall
Derrick Morgan
Jason Peters (will still play DE some, more than likely)
Antonio Wilson
Albert Rocker
Osahon Tongo

Every team needs its "runaway beer truck"!

And that's exactly what he is! If he is 6'3" 265 and still running a 4.5 forty, no cornerback in the nation would be able to do anything to him once he got into the secondary.

The kid is stout. He has a big-time motor. He has heart. He is disciplined with a great work ethic. He loves football. He has speed. He will be running over, through and around little guys soon. Check out the run at the beginning of the Flowery Branch vs Johnson (Gainesville) video on www.dalton jackitup.com.
