Great B/R Article on Tech's Season

The winner of the GT - VT game has gone to the ACC Championship every year. It’s even true before VT joined the ACC when in 1990 GT defeated VT and went on to get a piece of the National Championship.

I'm guessing that's a picture of the white out GT/Miami game on the top of the article. For those blasting the idea of a white out, take a look at that picture. If, on the other hand, the picture is photoshopped, nevermind.:hsugh:
 
I'd be willing to put down money it is photoshopped. Nothing against the white out.

Well it was so damn cold that night I had to wear a big massive coat. Unfortunately I do not have a white coat.I did have white on underneath. I just remember freezing my ass screaming like a mad man play after BIG play.

p.s. why dont we just do a gold out? it would look so much better
 
Well, if we keep winning, and if GT fans get on board with good ideas like this, there's no reason BDS shouldn't look like this for every white out game. And there's no reason we shouldn't have a white out game once a year. I think everyone who participated, including the players, thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am just amazed that people are actually against having a white out game.

I'm even more in favor of a gold out, but I think that's been tried and fizzled many times. Thanks for giving a good effort last year - it'll be warm enough at the Clemson game you should be ok.

I concur with the freezing. Lucky this year its in september so it should be warm enough. I think problem with a gold out is that there can be different colors. I mean people will where their gold jersey's but what else is there that's really gold? There are shirts but those will look yellow in comparison to the jersey's.

I'd rather BDS look like a giant snow field then a spread of Dijon mustard.

I think that's why the gold out always fizzled. I agree with you. Sorry this thread has turned into another white-out thread, but since we are on it, everybody wear white to the clemson game.

I did like the article too.

I think I said this somewhere before, but I only look at Bleacher Report as a thing of entertaining articles but is short on authenticity. What I mean is it is only a stones throw away of finding an article on the same website saying how everything this article says is false.

At this time in the year, I'm just happy to read anything that is somewhat new about GT football. There wasn't a ton of depth to the article, but it was about GT football, so I was happy to read it.
 
Duke has "never" been known as a football school???

This is the only place where the author missed his facts.

I'm pretty sure their 16 conference championships between '33 and '62 was way better than their Basketball program.
 
Hell, Duke had one year where their team was unscored upon. It may have been in the 30's, but damn it if you can do that you get a tip of the hat no matter how much you suck now.
 
That was a ridiculous article. Fluff piece written from a homer's perspective. Brought nothing to the table.
