We will have 26 juniors this fall - TWENTY-SIX. The fall of 2010, those left will be SR's, fully 30% of our team. This will include most of the awesome 2007 class (probably minus Dwyer and Burnett).

If we can make more good progress this year, then the 2010 team, with a SR Josh Nesbitt at the helm, in back of a fully functional option OL, should be poised for something very special.

At this point I don't think we can call any year our year. 2009 could be the year because it might be the last time we have all of the class of 2007 together. 2010 could be the year because of Sr Nesbitt and a veteran squad. 2011 could be big too because we'll still have a good bit left (like Roddy Jones, Cooper Taylor, and Peeples) as well as have a group composed mostly of people selected by Paul Johnson who have been in a year or more.

I can't see any year in the near future not giving us a legit shot at winning the ACC.

it's just damn good to be a jacket all the way around-

And this absolutely impressive recruiting effort of the coaching staff this past two weeks make it so much better.

I agree stinger....2010 could be special as we only lose two or three senior starters in Griffin/Howard/Voss. We have to handle Kansas away...but we do avoid FSU and BC.

The one thing that could mess it up would be kids going pro early like Burnett, Morgan, Dwyer, or DThomas.

The only thing about 2010 that worries me is that almost all of our big games are on the road. VT, Clemson, georgie, UNC, Kansas are all on the road. The only easy road game we have is Wake, and they're not exactly a weakling. Miami is the only program that is expected to compete for the division that we get at home.

The team should be really good. But the schedule sucks.

Besides, I want to enjoy this year while we can.

That's true but we almost got in last year with those same teams on the road (minus Kansas), so the ACC is definitely not out of reach. Now if we're trying to find a National Title...

PJ wont be rebuilding by 2010 he will be reloading.

ive always hated the saying 'we dont rebuild, we reload' i think its mostly cuz its always other schools saying it, but i could see it becoming a welcome phrase on the flats

I don't understand the fear of Clemson on the road. I was there last year. All we have to do is get a first down or make them punt, and the crowd shuts up. Heck, if we get up by two touchdowns in the first quarter, half of their "fans" will head for the exits anyway.

78, see the quote below that i found and posted on another site.
“The divine word will give to the substance (that which) contains heaven and earth, white and gold in the mystic act. Body, soul, and the spirit are all powerful. Everything is beneath his feet as at the seat of heaven. The sons of the reign will return to bring forth the righteous glory from the tastless ash and the vanquished will again rule the world. Dogs, cats and birds will quiver and die, criminals and even the storms will abate. The noble and the demons shall bow" (CIII Q2)

Looks to me like the old gent is saying that when our recruits born during 1990 will be bringing a MNC to us.

So yall can have all the Phil Steele and ESPN preseason uselessness. Before the last of our 1990 born players leave they will bring home the prize. Of course, he could have only meant the ACCC, but I think he means the whole pot of gold becasue he says "Everything is beneath his feet as at the seat of heaven"
