Florida State coach Bobby Bowden and his staff set aside two extra days of practice following the Seminoles’ spring game and picked up a third day due to inclement weather. Coming up with a plan to stop the Yellow Jackets’ offense was one of the primary objectives of those extra practice sessions.
“We’ll work on Georgia Tech because of the darn wishbone,” says Bowden, whose team was gashed for 288 rushing yards and a pair of long touchdown runs by B-back Jonathan Dwyer in a costly 31–28 defeat. “When you play against the wishbone you need an open date so you get two weeks of practice, because it’s so dadgum different.”

I just bought the magazine yesterday i been looking for it the last 2 weeks or so i saw the SEC one before but not the ACC till yesterday i swear i wanna kick everyone in the head who calls it the wishbone

It's not just you RM-1,
I've never been a big fan of open dates either. We always seemed to lose a little edge w/out a game every week back in the dark ages.

You guys mean "without the opponent having an open date" before they play us?

I think we could've beaten UNC last year had we had a week to recover especially since Josh rolled his ankle against FSU.

Yeah, this is what I meant as well. I still like the 12 week season though. It seemed a couple of years ago our schedule was set up to where the toughtest teams we played all had a week off before us. I hope it doesn't get that way again. Not saying teams can still stop us but I hate the odds.

The percacets are talking now, I don't want to seem pansy ass but bring back the 12 week season.

Hey RM, I'm gonna be in Buffalo for a coupla days week after next. Any suggestions on what to do besides Niagara Falls?
 
Chippawae street downtown. Not sure where you are staying but I have a couple of Gin Mills in Williamsville you would like I think. Ralph Wilson Stadium is another. Just depends on what you want to do. They have 3A baseball there as well. Indians affiliate.

Yeah, the Buffalo Bisons. I'm going to see them this Friday at the G Braves. I've already checked them out and they're leaving the day I get there. Bummer.

Any nice historic districts, nice parks on Lake Erie (laughter, I know), landmarks to take in? My evenings are booked, but the days are free. Niagara is one day. I'm gonna see the US falls this time, as I've already been to the Canadian falls before (and my passport expired in March...). Can you get into the stadium during the day? I'll take some pics and give you a flashback. ;)
 
Go see the Albriet Knox museum, always a favorite of mine. If you go up to Lockport on the canal they have something to see (I'm on pain killers and can't remember right now, lol) it's pretty neat. Something about Pianos or such. Other than that I just don't remember right now. Go to the wing place, I don't like them but it's a tourist stop. Can't remember that either right now.
