Petrino takes hard line at Arkansas..

I don't know if there is more to this story but dismissed this kid for DWI...

the kid played in 10 games as a freshman so he must have been player w/ potential

I am sure CMR over at UGA will take him, he loves players that can be arrested for DUI. He might suspend him for the first (Patsy) game for "punishment". What a joke CMR is. DUI is criminal behavior, in my opinion, and Petrino has my respect.

Petrino has my respect.

I lost all respect for that cock-meat sandwich when he walked out on the Falcons. Scumbag. Though, that allowed a much more competent coach to come in - kind of like the whole Gailey departure.

Wow.

Do you think you know all the details? Can you not imagine any scenario where you might take a job, realize it was a bad fit, and then leave?

I know nothing, but I cannot understand such vitriol unless you are an insider with explicit knowledge.

Yeah, disregard the fact that he met with Arthur Blank on a Monday afternoon and told him he was happy with Atlanta and would finish out the season - which Blank relayed to millions of people watching Monday Night Football - only to have Petrino announce his move to Arkansas on Tuesday morning. F*** him. It wasn't a simple matter of being a bad fit - there's few jobs more transparent than being a head coach and Petrino could've talked to dozens of coaches within the fraternity (if he hasn't already burned all of his bridges) if he was unclear what he was getting himself into.

Shooter McGavin eats pieces of **** like him for breakfast.

And I didn't even get into him going behind Tubberville to meet with Bobby Lowder about CTT's job.

A friend of a friend played for Louisville under Petrino. So yeah, take it with a grain of salt, but my friend heard some very unfavorable things about Petrino.

Defending Petrino's character is almost like defending Mussolini's character, except that you'll find fewer people who agree with you.

That's because odds are in these parts that fewer people will know who Mussolini was.

Who wouldn't know who Mussolini is?

He was there when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor right?

From what I understand this isn't the first time the kid has been in trouble. I think it's a cumulative effect kind of thing.

I grew up a Razorback fan during the heyday, late 70s early 80s. Orange, Sugar, Cotton bowls. Frank Broyles, Lou Holtz, etc. Look it up. 18 years, born and bred, and from then on Razorback fans are forever. Then, I officially suspended my fanhood once this lying weasal scumbag was named our coach. It is beneath contempt to have him as a representative of Arkansas. Good thing I am now first and foremost a Jackets fan, where integrity means something in a coach (including Gailey who had issues but was not a bad man). Go Jackets!!! and Go Hogs, once the miserable lying scumbag leaves, which will not be long from now.

He broke the presumed starting QB's jaw in a fight in the weight room a week or two ago - does that count?

Fair point. Most U[sic]GA fans don't know who their fathers were either. So its understandable that they wouldn't know that Mussolini led the Ottoman Empire into the second world war and was the first female head of state to plant lavender and funded his empire with gold collected from the ends of rainbows. That said, I applaud the way the Italians disposed of his body before two idiots dug it up.

Not only that, he left notes on his player's lockers telling them he had resigned, he didn't even tell them face to face.

Then there was the illicit meeting he had with Auburn reps way back to discuss that job while Tubberville was still their coach.

Yeah, he's pretty much left a trail of very unprofessional acts behind him like slug slime; there's little reason to give him any benefit of the doubt.

this is what I figured. a DWI just is not that impressive on the blotter to sec schools
