There is this guy I met the other day and I noticed he had a Miami tag on the front of his SUV. Well anyway I saw him take a glimpse of my GT tag on my car when I was leaving. Today I see him again and he has a brand new 2008 Florida National Championship tag where the UM one used to be. I guess the only thing that would have been more funny is if the UM plate was replaced by a fresh from wal-mart UGA tag. :laugher:

Damned Floridians...

I have a friend (from Orlando) who "loves" Miami, FSU, and then the Gators.

I always tell him that's BS since there's no way he can be a die-hard fan of any club if he doesn't choose.

Respect denied indefinitely.

That's kinda like this guy I work with who is a Yankees and Mets fan. Unless I'm missing something, it just doesn't make any sense to me.

I like Tech basketball, golf, cricket, and baseball.

I like Georgia football baseball and water polo.

That must be some of that famous 'swagger' they have down there at the U :laugher:

Hopefully this is just a sign of things to come. Everyone will fear GT so much that they hide any of their own teams gear with someone else's that we don't play.

To be honest I don't mind seeing the Yankees do well(unless, of course, it is at our expense.) They're only relevant to me twice a year in most years, and I don't live in New York so I don't have to deal with their fans. Obviously I wouldn't call myself a Yankees fan or ever wear any of their gear, but unless we're playing them in interleague play(especially with the results this season...) I don't really feel the hatred like GT/UGA or FSU/UM/UF.

"Well I like Tech in basketball and Georgia in football, mostly."

Hahaha... oh, how many times have I heard that?

It's like they are hoping to garner some points from me by saying they like GT as long as they aren't playing UGAg.

I always respond with, "I hate everything UGAg, 24-7-365-all my life."

:D

I hate hearing that too, but I'm sure once we get a few more Ws against them they will quickly change.

Haha. Reminds me of my friend from Philly who says, "if I meet somebody from a rival city and they don't hate the Eagles, then I know they aren't a real fan."

Kinda funny, but you get away from the South, and UGAg is known for it's Gymnastics program as much as anything else.

Miami fans suck. Miami teams suck. Miami sucks. Atlanta's allegiance to home pro sports teams is like a northeastern city by comparison.

And yeah, UGA has little notoriety outside of the south. UGA fans think someone in Nebraska will mention then in the same breath as USC and Florida, but nobody does.

That's SWAGGER!!!! (underline optional)

Isn't swagger what drunk people do when they try to walk during a sobriety test?

Either way it suits the team whose mascot namesake has a tendecy to kick the ass of the physical campus between August and November, ironically the same time their football team is getting a cork shoved in it (so to speak).

Miami fans are the absolute biggest lUsers. I hate UGA conceptually, but I don't "hate" Georgie fans on a personal level. But I hate Miami fans personally.
