Construction of the new video board and sound system in the stadium seem to be moving along nicely. Every time I walk by there seems to be a bigger board. Below are pictures from 6/24 and 6/29. The last image is what is is supposed to look like. I will try to update this as I take more pictures.

Those flanking ads are hideous. What's happening to the Bowl Placards that were there before?

Seriously. Go to any stadium in the BCS and you're inundated with advertisements. This isn't really anything new.
 
Very glad the placards are gone. I have yet to see a big time school advertising in their stadium how proud they are of having played in nut bowls, blue bowls and bowls that no longer exist.

Keep that stuff in the locker rooms, recruiting offices, and players lounges.

The kids we are after now are not impressed with boise.

Yes, but the Rose Bowl is a pretty big deal. Same with the Cotton, Sugar, Orange, etc. If I had to choose between those placards or a Bank of America ad, I know which I'd prefer. And it's not another ad.
 
I always thought the bowl game placards were pretty cool to have hangin' up.
 
Yeah, the Orange, Cotton, Sugar, Rose are all nice to have up there, but when the last one was from 1/1/68, it does not seem to have the same impact.

I trust DRad to make the correct choice however.

I had HEARD they were just being moved elsewhere, could be wrong though.

But I really don't think we need giant plaques celebrating our trips to Boise and San Francisco

I like that you've got your head on a swivel for the lurking nadlickers, but I think GoJackets89's comment was said tongue-in-cheek.

Allen, which would you rather have -- the Cotton, Sugar and Orange placards up with CPJ gone, due to the fact that we cannot pay his salary or a BoA ad with CPJ on the field, as the money brought in by the ad will help pay his salary.
