Which in coming true freshmen or Redshirt Freshmen is going to have biggest impact?

Just trying to stay cool on a HOT SUMMER DAY & dreaming of the FALL when the season begins....
Ok so which of our Freshmen (true/redshirt) will make the biggest impact this season?
Assuming that a couple or few true freshmen get PT....
I say Hill b/c I expect to see more passing this year & with so much hype and attention going towards our TALENTED backfield I assume our WR's will reap some low hanging fruit when PJ calls for deep routes....
Thoughts?

I think it might be one of the RS freshman on the OL, can't tell which but if we have even half of the kind of attrition we had last year at that position then one of them will get a lot of playing time.

Why not discuss it again now that spring practice is over?

I think only 2 maybe 3 freshmen will burn a redshirt this season:

Hill because even if Melton is much improved we need another for depth.

Deike because he enrolled early (and he's a beast).

And maybe 1 OL for depth if they do great in the summer.

Of those its hard not to say Hill. Him and Melton will get some serious yards simply because opponents will focus on Thomas so much leaving them free.

But of the redshirts I will say TJ Barnes. Dude looks like a Mack truck and he aint slow either.

Yeah and I don't think his performance in the spring is reflective of how he'll do in the season. If I remember right he had trouble with getting leverage because he is so much bigger than the people on our O line. However a lot of guys on our O line are smaller than your typical offensive lineman (or so I've been led to believe), so he might find more success against your average OL that we'll be facing.

Top newcomer-Jerrard Tarrant (has never played a college snap)

Top RS-Mt TJ

Top True FR-Hill. I think everyone else RS except Lanier.

If Tarrant counts, then he's the obvious answer.

Why all the sissy answers?

I believe CPJ will try and rs Hill. You think not you're obviously of the yankee persuasion. Bring him in and I see major problems for other teams. I just feel that CPJ will sit him rather than try and play him alongside Bebe which would be Killer! so we can save another season out of him while he grows up?

All positions are OPEN. If any true frosh demonstrates better skill and understanding, they will advance on the depth chart. Period.

Top newcomer: Anthony Allen (HM: Tarrant, then Barnes)

Personally, and do not know if he is going to be redshirted or not, but if he is not -- I like Burnett. I truly believe at the end of his GT career, he will be one of the good LB's we have had.

If going by this instead of top newcomer I think TJ Barnes will have the biggest impact amongst redshirt freshmen.
Among true freshmen this year it is hard to say because the OL's may end up redshirting...although there is chatter around Foster. You could also see an impact as a backup by either Sims or Luallen. As of now, I would go with Stephen Hill because he is least likely to redshirt and most likely to get early playing time.

Wow, that's news to me. I thought the three were enough but if one will burn a redshirt my moneys on Sims. More of an athlete. But somehow I see Luallen as the head QB in 2 years.

Will Jackson is my pick.

TW moves to A back or DB and Luallen will be #3 on the chart. The bad thing though is there may not be any mop up duty beyond the 1st game. I expect there will be some but we dont have a cupcake past Jax st.
