I heart jonathon dwyer

Most folks -- or groups of folks -- don't bring JD down when he's incoming, and nobody catches him from behind. I love to see him take off...

not in a weird way....but here's one reason why.

feel free to add your own.

I have a question, I'm still trying to figure all this out (basically when I play NCAA 10 I won't screw up all the time), but on that play (Dwyer's first against Miami) based on the numbers shouldn't we have run left? Am I missing something?

BTW I'm not trying to knock JN's decision, just trying to understand.

Not if the playcall was to the right? Am I missing something?

Is there any chance he will be back his senior year or is that just a lost cause?

Dwyer is a ****ing Hoss, but wow, that video reminded me that Miami fans really are huge douche bags. Thanks!

I can hardly see Dwyer staying unless something bad happens to him so I hope he has a great year and gets the opportunity to make wheelbarrows full of money.

From my understanding, they call a direction in the huddle, then when they get to the line, JN counts the numbers and then decides to stay that direction or audible to go the opposite way (so all the D knows is that the direction has changed but not which way it's going)

If the numbers are even then you go wide side of the field

If you're in the middle then you go on player advantages.

But to me it looks like the numbers advantage was to the other way, unless I am doing it wrong (which I completely admit is a possibility)

Go to the 1m22s mark of the video you are talking about. This will show you how Miami lined up. If you split the video from our center, there are actually more defenders on the right side then left (from the video's perspective). It only looks like three defender on the right because there is a DE hidden in front of an OLB and also a safety is just outside of view on the right side.

If you ask me, I think the dive was supposed to exploit the wide gap left in between the DTs. It may have been a trap though because UM crushed that gap pretty quickly but at the cost of leaving the outside open for the Diesel.

Can't wait to get NCAA '10 in my hands. :)

Assuming we do well this year (9-3, 10-2), if Dwyer returns for 2010, we will be lock for preseason top 10. Of course depending on how Anthony Allen pans out, we might be a top 10 lock next season anyway.

I have a good feeling Dwyer will be back. Burnett is as good as gone though; I have already accepted that fact.
