They will open the 2012 season here in Atlanta. Quite a coup for the Wolfpack to pull off such a huge game. You'd sure think that the Chick-fil-a College Kickoff folks would've done more to get Florida St or Clemson or Ga Tech for this game! NCar St?????

I wish it were Ga Tech vs Tennessee as the Yellow Jackets need a big time game for 2012! Oh well, there may be hope for 2015:rolleyes:. The announcement is under 'Tennessee'.

Rumor has it that UNC will play LSU in 2010.

Hopefully we can grab the 2011 spot.
 
I've never really been a fan of a challenging opponent for the opening game. But that's just me.

Barring a shocker, NCState will have a 4th year senior starting at QB. That could be their year.
 
Who cares, and I don't want to be in the dome if its gonna take a game away from BDS.
 
Well we know it won't be ugay or ole miss. I bet Miss St, auburn, and vandy will not want any either.
 
Why not Florida? Don't want a loss? Don't want to risk it? Then I guess we can never win a national championship...

I think you're right. If we can never defeat Florida, we obviously can never get a national championship.

While we're on the subject, do you guys think we could beat Florida if we amazingly got into the MNC?
 
I think we could kick Florida's ass up and down the field by then. CPJ shall take us to the promise land. Urban learned from CPJ, mind you.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't think opening the season with a team like UF is the best way for us to get to the MNC.

CPJ may be a better coach, though UF does have a better team overall.

Right, the point isn't to open the season like that but to play that caliber of games. Doesn't have to be Florida or Texas or USC but big games are good, IMO. I like diversity in the schedule.. and by diversity I don't mean Wofford and South Carolina State.
 
In 2010 & 2011

Ga Tech booked up with the H&H vs Kansas. It would now take some major reshuffling to get a College Kickoff opener set for the Dome.
2012 is in need of some games & I was really hoping Radakovich could set up a big match that year. 2013 & 2014 are looking good with Alabama & Georgia both seasons. The Yellow Jacket-Red Elephant game could be moved to the Ga Dome, but neither school wants to give up their 'home' game in this much anticipated renewal of a bitter rivalry. Amen!

Good point about our schedules in the immediate future being fairly set. As for 2012, lets just hope by then we are national title contenders and can get away with a cupcake schedule like Florida is this upcoming season.
