Chris Jackson?

He should look up Gailey's number and give him a call. PJ will never pass the ball to anyone other than Bebe, and Chris doesn't want to play A-back.

Chris Jackson was a big time WR recruit who had committed to Gailey very early in 2007. He was very excited to be a Jacket. Used to show up at tailgates even handshaking folks. Nice kid.

When we canned Gailey and hired PJ, Chris made a lot of drama by decommitting, and then makiing a soap opera out of GT's next hire. When we hired PJ, he basically said "hell no" and committed to Saban and Bama.

He committed to Gailey. Not GT.

He can come down to GSU and play for Hatcher. He's going to throw it like PJ runs it.

Chris's dad was really excited for him to be a Jacket back when he was committed. His parents were at a few of the games this past season.

Hopefully PJ will kick him out of his office after laughing in his face.

hopefully PJ wont act like an asshole as you suggest, but maybe he can bitch-slap you instead

if Jackson realizes that he made a mistake, why not let him sit out a year and practice, and see if he earns a spot. make him earn it, though.

he won't take up a ship with a transfer, he'll have to earn a ship as a walk-on when he does. If he can do that I'll be more than happy with it.

So, compare it to this:
-Girl decides to go out with you
-Girl finds someone else she likes better
-It doesnt work out
-She comes back

How would you feel about that?

You're a bitch anyways, so you'd probably be fine with it. You strike me as the "I'll put up with bull**** if it might help win a game, principles don't matter" type.

Fine with me as long as I bang her.

Also, as I head to bed for the night, ponder this:

What's the difference in this situation and the kid that was told his offer would be rescinded if he went to an AU visit? Neither can make up their mind.

Personally, I'm banking on the hope we get our passing game together. We all know we can run the ball. If the OL gets their act together and figures out how to pass block and give Josh enough time to get comfortable, as an offense we will be unstoppable.
If Chris wants to make another go of it at Tech, I'd be on board with giving him a shot. I haven't met him, and only remember this happening through the news, but I dont have a problem with a kid having a change or heart. Gailey was his guy, but buying into the team aspect Johnson brings is doable for anyone. Bring him back. We all know he'd have to earn his shot from Johnson, and lord knows another pair of hands that can catch would be a welcome addition.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I believe in 2nd chances. Everyone deserves one.

Well using this analogy there are very few recruits worthy of accepting given that nearly all explore several options for a lengthy period of time before making their decision and often still have very complimentary things to say about some of the schools they passed on.

Bottom line, the kid can obviously play and he's not leaving Bama because he was shunned and is looking at Tech as a last resort. I'm sure he could go just about anywhere he wants, and if he chooses Tech than it's reasonable to assume that means he's on board with what PJ is doing. Remember that there are plenty of guys who are in high school now who may be considering us who weren't doing so a year ago...I wouldn't be too hard on this kid just because he didn't have the benefit of seeing PJ in year 1 prior to committing.
