Sporting News as a whole picked us 2nd. I've gotten alot of the preseason mags and every single one picks VPI. I figured there would be a couple more places picking us. Most have had us lower in the top 25 than the polls will have us too (some outside the top 25 - Phil Steele - who somehow thinks we'll finish 28th with only 3 regular season losses). It's slightly surprising. I think we've actually gotten less hype than I thought we would (not that that's a bad thing). I'd rather be where we are instead of Poly. We're high enough to make a run but not so high we get over hyped and start buying into it. I wouldn't mind the AP having us slightly lower than than the Coaches Poll. It's nice to see someone go against the grain though.
