Good ol' EPSN power rankings

I really like the comment beside the Virginia Tech entry. It says, "The ACC's best team? No doubt about it." I guess we just need to hang in there and fight the good fight for #2 in the Coastal. I hope someone shows this to our team and coaching staff in case they have any doubts that VPI is the best team.

Yeah, they're so much better than us that they aren't even bothering to play us. They're so confident that they will take the forfeit and play an exhibition that day against GTU instead.

Here's how the 15 ESPN pollsters ranked Ga Tech:

Brian Bennet (Big East blog) #14
Rece Davis #22
Heather Dinich (ACC blog) #12
Chris Fallica (ESPN researcher) #14
Bruce Feldman (ESPN the Mag.) #18
Pat Forde - not ranked
Tim Griffin (Big 12 blog) #13
Chris Low (SEC blog) #13
Ivan Maisel (had Notre Dame at 11th) #25
Todd McShay (Scouts Inc.) #12
Ted Miller (Pac-10 blog) #12
Adam Rittenberg (Big Ten blog) #15
Joe Schad #13
Mark Schlabach #16
Graham Watson (espn.com) #16

Nice to see that Chris Low, the SEC blogger, showed some restraint. He only put 4 SEC teams in his top 10 and just 7 in his Top 25.

(UF #1, Ole Miss #7, Bama #8, LSU #10, UGA #14, South Carolina #24; Arkansas #25)

At least he had us ahead of UGA.

Wait, ESPN had an article that appears to have been written by an idiot who only marginally follows a sport? This I find highly unbelievable.

For Christ's sake, Notre ****ing Dame is on the list. Are you telling me that the same school that lost to ****ing Syracuse last year could beat any of the teams listed lower? Really? In case you were wondering, Pat Forde, the same ****ing idiot that didn't even list us, put Notre Dame as the #15 team in the country. One spot behind UGA. I hate UGA, but even I would find some enjoyment in the prison shower level of rape that would go if those two teams played.

**** ESPN.

I concur that ND sucks and will suck again in 2009. However, I see their reasoning behind ranking ND. The only thing that sucks worse than ND is ND's schedule. They could play sh**y football and still go 9-3. the way the polls work....if ND, USC, Ohio St, etc etc win 9 games they will be ranked Top 15 no matter what.

Notre Dame is on a lot of lists. It's really kind of unbelievable. Any time you want to end a discussion on bias in polls, just point to Notre Dame's ranking.

I agree with your assessment. I have ND going 10-2 against that schedule.

I hate Pat Forde. He's an asshole and a moron.

If they don't get to USC ranked with that schedule fat Charlie should be fired at halftime while they get beaten down.
