SI has us preseason 12th

SI is historically stupid when it comes to picking the top 25.

Don't forget these guys who were last year's #1.

I love Troy at 44 right behind Clemson 43. Clemson would beat them like a drum.
 
Actually, Troy isn't that bad at all. They almost beat LSU last year in Death Valley. The Tigers had to rally form behind to win.
 
Placing Vandy so low is extremely odd. They had a decent season last year, and labeling them as the worst team in the SEC again is another one I don't understand.

Yeah, Miss St. is definitely worse than Vandy. Definitely some odd placings. They've underestimated us for a 2nd straight season.

I don't mean this in a contentious or sarcastic way, but do you really think that ranking us 12th in the country is underestimation?

MSU is an odd case, because they could either get immediate improvement with Dan Mullen, or they could get a DickRod-like season. I think that Dan Mullen will turn them into a very good team eventually. I wouldn't put a new coach on a 3 win team over a bowl team though.

Let's remember that the only reason they turned out to be a bust was b/c of their pre-season injuries to some key linemen. If it wasn't for that, SI would have been dead on.:laugher:

They only lost to Florida by, what, a field goal? (I'm talking in terms of actual closeness as opposed to numerical closeness.)

I am referring some AJC article relating VT's Evans loss to Uga's loss last year, and how that gave Uga an excuse to not living up to the hype.

Not so fast bro. I remember those same people who "knows a little something" ranking the Arizona wildcats ranked #1 in early 90's when we damn near and should have won with the sh#*$! Tommy Lose'embill / Bill Lewis led Jackets that won a woppin' 1 God#@+! Game

Those same experts had the Dawgs #1 last year

Screw all this preseason... I'd much rather be under the radar than on it. No Points for PreSeason !!!
