(1) Did we ever really see Nesbitt's running game at full power last season? If so, in which games? How pervasive were his injuries? How much improvement should we expect in his rushing?

(2) Is Anthony Allen going to be hands-down our third biggest ground threat behind Dwyer and Nesbitt? How good is he?

Nesbitt only ran at full power early in the season when he (and everyone else) didn't have a grasp of the offense.

The plays that best contrast him early and late are the 30 yard reverse field scramble for a critical first down against BC (when he was lost offensively but made things happen with speed and agility) and the midline option keeper for ~60 yards against Miami (when he was running like Herman Munster but knew the offense). I still have both on DVR and compare them every now and then just wishing we were playing football already. I can't wait to see him in a game healthy and primed for the offense.

Nesbitt also had over 150 yards rushing against VT, when Dywer got dinged.

Nesbitt's running was solely responsible for putting us in a position to win that VT game.

Well he was just making a good read. VT stacked the middle to take away the dive, and used what remained outside to take away the A-back. That left Josh alone to run. It's hard to be patient that way because so many big plays come from the other two options. That being said, if you watch old GSU film, a TON of big plays come from the QB breaking free. Hopefully with a grasp on the offense, this will happen this year.

1) Physically Yes....Jax St, BC, VT
Mentally NO

2)Yes and maybe even #2 behind Dwyer.

1. Yes sir, I think he showed us his stuff well in the 1st 3 or 4 games. Especially against BC and VT. I think he'll be better across the board. Especially his passing (don't forget this kid was a Throwing QB in HS ... Like a big version of Joe Hamilton). Rushing is tougher to improve on unless you just lose seconds on the speed. His rushing discipline will be key, not just tuck and go instead of scrambling and making the right decision to pitch, run or pass

2. Anthony Allen is a badass. He'll be a good choice regardless of the down.

I think Nesbitt would have completely gutted Mississippi State's D had he not gotten hurt on that early run. Even Shaw had 9 carries for 61 yards.

Nesbitt had a good game against VT last year. Running wise anyway.

I saw Allen when Louisville played Middle Tennessee on a Thursday night two years ago. The guy was unstoppable and ran for over 270 yards in that game as a freshman I believe.

If the blocking is good, we'll average 30-35 points per game.
