Have a very special season in 2025. I have no idea the extent of his shoulder injury but if he returns 100% our offense should be tough to defend. I wonder what his plans are?

...Philo all we can Philo.I agree with your premise, but I think it is important to ....
Why do people keep bringing up the portal with Haynes King? He is the starter. We keep trying to play him even when he’s hurt. There is nothing suggest the coaches have lost confidence in him. Did Cam Rising transfer? QB’s transfer when they get hurt and then after they return get passed by. Not while they’re recovering from injury.I dunno what his plans are, but a lot of guys would have shut it down and started looking at the portal already. Big credit to him.
The question is move on to what? He can do anything but Tech may be his best path to play football one more year. I’m convinced he is a Tech manIf King has a rotator cuff tear and has surgery immediately after the UGA game, I wonder if he’d be ready to go in September? That would give him a 9 month rehab. Yesteryear he would probably just go ahead and move on with his life but now he may not want to leave NIL money on the table.
In the current environment of NIL and the transfer portal, I don't think it makes much sense anymore to protect redshirts. If a freshman is good enough to earn playing time, there is no assurance that he will be around in 3-4 years anyway.Too bad we have to burn Philo’s redshirt this year. I think the UGA game will be his 5th.
100% this.In the current environment of NIL and the transfer portal, I don't think it makes much sense anymore to protect redshirts. If a freshman is good enough to earn playing time, there is no assurance that he will be around in 3-4 years anyway.
I agree but for a long time I have hoped for GT to do more to help the football team. Still would like to see more progress there. In the current environment of NIL and the transfer portal, I don't think it makes much sense anymore to protect redshirts. I asked my friend who is a GT grad, die hard football fan, and orthopedic surgeon. He said he thinks it’s rotator cuff and he should be ready to go by spring practice if he has surgery after uga.
