Haynes King’s Experience And Versatility Gives Us A Great Opportunity To ….

It’s really the only theory that makes sense, with him being able to do other things without limitation. Some have said shoulder sprain or separation, and it seems to me that would limit his ability to run and take hits.
It isn't a separation if they said he can't hurt it further running and getting hit.

I tore my rotator cuff way back in 1989 after years of football (QB) and baseball (C). Before it was definitively diagnosed, the only thing I could do in baseball was a snap throw with no wind up or full follow through. So IMHO, the little screens are about all he can do.

I asked my friend who is a GT grad, die hard football fan, and orthopedic surgeon. He said he thinks it’s rotator cuff and he should be ready to go by spring practice if he has surgery after uga.
That was my guess in the game thread. I had 2 bone spurs cutting in to mine and I had full range of motion except for a throwing motion.Try to throw tennis ball in the exam and my arm would as almost go limp, zero force.

King can still throw the ball behind his back ala Dan Marino. I’d pay to see it in a game.

Does King throw the ball in warmups?
ESPN interviewed him in warmups prior to the NC St game. He was throwing it 20 yds. I didn't notice any wincing while he was throwing. He wasn't zipping it but the play where Hawes broke open, I think he just pulled the trigger early and was frustrated he missed the receiver breaking open, not because he physically couldn't make the throw That throw would have been around yds

In the current environment of NIL and the transfer portal, I don't think it makes much sense anymore to protect redshirts. If a freshman is good enough to earn playing time, there is no assurance that he will be around in 3-4 years anyway.
Plus, if God-forbid he ever has an injured year in the future he can take his redshirt year then
