Turf supposedly being replaced next month.Seriously looks so shitty when the sun is out. Like actually looks like there is shiny feces on it when the sun is shining.

I'd say move the FCS game to the spring, change $10 or whatever, but it's a real game (exhibition), against a real other team. Gives the FCS teams a paycheck, gets rid of these games in the regular season, gives our team someone else to play against, give the fans something more substantial to watch and see how good we might be.What about replacing the SG with a semi-real game with Auburn with fast clock and limited pass rush. Could charge like $10. Pros and Cons ?
Yellawood may spring for costs?
The last thing coaches want to do in this day and age is truly showcase their players during the spring. Much more likely would be 100% closed practices and no spring game. That way players cannot improve their stock for a transfer payday somewhere else. I know it's sad... but it's the reality.I'd say move the FCS game to the spring, change $10 or whatever, but it's a real game (exhibition), against a real other team. In a recent interview, Key pretty much threw his hands in the air saying that everybody (all the other programs) knows exactly who is good. So basically, not putting your cards on the table is pointless because everybody already knows your cards. The last thing coaches want to do in this day and age is truly showcase their players during the spring. Thank you for pointing out what I also should have mentioned from the interview. Key specifically said the game is a reward for the players and a treat for the fans and (my interpretation) puts a capstone on spring practice. This is spot on. Coaches are not dependent on spring game video to know who they are going after in the portal. Coaches and AD’s using this is an excuse for discontinuing the spring game are in fact tired of having to put on a show for their football starved fan bases in the middle of April. Brent Key still enjoys college football and seems to appreciate Georgia Tech students, alums and fans. The death of spring games will ultimately do little to keep transfers from happening and will simply deprive the most avid fans of a tradition they enjoy.
This probably violates some NCAA ruleI'd say move the FCS game to the spring, change $10 or whatever, but it's a real game (exhibition), against a real other team.
