Who do we want to win? Normally, I'd root for Boise State, but these teams out of second tier conferences are creating problems for teams like us. If Boise State wins, then they likely go undefeated. Add in undefeated Utah, undefeated TCU (ok whatever) and the BCS becomes a mess.

11-1 Tech should go to the BCS instead of undefeated any of those guys. So I guess I want Oregon to win.

Boise State needs to win.

Even though the Broncos are #14, a win over Oregon would put the Ducks lower or out of the rankings for a bit while we try and climb up. I don't see BSU's schedule allowing them to climb very fast until teams start losing. Really, the only reason they get so high is because they get 11 or 12-win seasons.

If GT can climb fast (which probably won't happen until after a win over Miami, depending on how they do) then Boise State won't be a problem.

A higher-ranked Oregon team who plays Pac-10 teams (a conference that is, supposedly, just under the ACC in "toughness") will undoubtedly be a tougher obstacle to climb over than a Boise State team...

Right?

I've always liked Oregon for some reason, so I'll be rooting for them. I think I'm the only one on ST who actually thinks their uniforms look badass.

By the way, we all need to be wearing orange (on the inside) in support of the Hokies, or red (on the way-deep-down inside) in support of the Wolfpack... they start the battle with the SEC and I'd like to see the ACC start the season off 2-0 against them...

2 MORE DAYS!

I like the green ones, but not yellow. I've got nothing against the Ducks, just that they're probably gonna get in Tech's way more than the Broncos will.

I'd like to see Oregon win. This is by far Boise's toughest game, and they'll likely be another BCS buster this year with a good record.

I am right there with you. Their jerseys are awesome. Of all PAC 10 teams they're the only ones I can stand.

I like Oregon's white helmet, but they don't wear it that often. Also, how do you not like UCLA? One other note: if BYU somehow goes undefeated, do they have a real shot at the BCS Championship game (assuming there are not two other undefeated teams)? I am inclined to say yes with OU and Miami on the schedule.

Boise State all the way. They are America's team of college football. The more BCS controversy the happier I am. Boise State winning all their games definitely helps make some controversy.

I hate:

1. BCS Busters
2. Blue Fields
3. Boise State
4. Oregon's unis.

Go asteroid!

Let me say I'm not a fan of the BCS, so any "busting" it gets is good, in my book. It is time the BCS were revamped. The Mtn West Conference (Utah, TCU, BYU) and WAC (Boise St, Fresno St) are stronger conferences that the Big East, but only get a spot if they have an undefeated season. While there was that Hawaii bowl blowout (which promptly catapulted the pups to pre-season #1 status...lol), there have been 3 "mid-major" upsets in BCS bowls: Utah (twice) and Boise State. I hate to say it, but that's two more BCS bowl victories than the ACC has had.

Oregon is always good for a big upset win and a tough upset loss. If they beat Boise, they are sure to drop one later, so they would be the better pick for us. We simply need to win the ACC Championship and control our own destiny if we want a BCS bowl. The only way a 2nd ACC team gets in the BCS is if they are a one-loss team, and they are located in the state of Florida.

Pulling for the Ducks to go ahead and take Boise State out of the title hunt.

Right?

Perhaps, but if Boise St wins they'll be ranked in the top 15 for the rest of the season, cause no one else on their schedule has a better chance of beating them. If Oregon wins, they'll jump up sure but they play a lot more losable games and if they lose they drop.
