Oregon player suckerpunches Boise player after game

if you are talking smack you may get punched. That is the way life works. By the Bstate coach reaction BEFORE the punch it appears the Bstate player said something inappropriate.

I think there is a chance that both players will be suspended for a game AND THIS IS THE KIND OF CRAP that the Okie State coach is smart enough to try to AVOID

Was I the only one that noticed the guy that blatantly said, albeit no sound, "F*ck you!" to Blount right before he had to be restrained by the Event Staff and Police? Right or wrong, I wouldn't be telling a 6'3" 230+ pound football player that, unless I was in an extreme state of inebriation.

That said, I think the NCAA needs to scrap this pedagogical "handshaking" crap. Although it's not compulsory, it is going to lead to more incidents like these.

Boise guy was asking for it. He grabbed the Oregon guy first. You can't taunt someone AND initiate physical contact and not expect a retaliation.
Maybe, but the O player will be the one sitting out games and hurting his team. You just can't be that stupid when you're playing major sports.

The sucker punch was bad. Going after the fans was stupid. He ought to sit out a game or two. Oregon was a train wreck. How do you mail in your first game on ESPN? Plus, they have an even worse uniform, a platinum disaster, to unveil before the season is over.

I've been a pretty vocal supporter of Oregon's uniforms, but last night's were pretty bad. The wings/feathers were silly. The uniforms would have looked great without them.

I can see that a few of you haven't played a day of tackle football in your life. Trash talking much worse than "Good game bitch" goes on when you're on the field. Who cares that the Boise State guy said that. He didn't "deserve" to be punched, as all of you are saying.

I don't care if the guy said "I f-ed your mom last night and she was the best I ever had." People say demeaning things when you are playing football and you just shrug it off. Well, the great ones shrug it off. The losers don't. Blount is a loser, plain and simple. His draft prospects have just gone down because of that. The Boise guy was just doing what guys do when they play football and Blount isn't man enough to just utter something intelligent back. Instead he was like, "Me caveman, me can't think fast enough to come back with something, me punch you."

I see your point, but I don't think that winning gives you carte blanche to grab a guy well after the game is over and start trash talking him without expecting retaliation. No, Blount shouldn't have punched him, but the Boise guy wasn't just "doing what guys do when they play football." One classless act got rewarded with a more classless act.

Hey the BSU guy grabbed as the Oregon guy walked away. Sometimes A-hole moves deserve an a-hole sucker punch. I don't give a shiit if it's just "trash talk", you don't grab people to trash talk. I'd pop your ass, too. I wouldn't suspend the BSU guy, he got what he deserved. The Oregon guy might need to sit out game for happend afterwards. That was embarassing to O's program.

I would not deem this a sucker-punch on the part of #9 for Oregon. I would consider it an 'almost' appropriate reaction. As a player you do need to have self-control and avoid putting yourself in a situation such as this.

After a game, particularly one you lose on the opponents home field, a player does not need to find himself alone amongst the opponent --which it looks like #9 for Oregon is the only Duck in sight.

But #94 for Boise must shoulder the blame for this. The dumb-A mouthed off right in front of one of his own coaches. If I'm that coach, next week at practice #94 is running hills, crab-walking the field and doing green bays until he puked is guts out.

Blount was talking **** before the game, BSU guy talked **** after the game. Blount deserved the **** talking after his **** talking. Whether the guy deserved the punch for **** talking, I don't care, but if you're **** talking anyone at anytime, you should be ready to get punched for talking **** :)

Obviously, Blount wasn't too awfully stupid because he kept helmet on. OTOH, the Boise State guy is a real classless dumbass too He takes his helmet off and then has the balls to antagonize the opposition (verbally and physically) with his teammates. I'll bet he won't do it again.

I realize many wrongs don't make a right, but I hope the Boise State guy taught the entire college football world a lesson last night.
