When did CPJ decide to make us a passing team?

I didn't get the memo. I thought the strength of this offense was running ...

If we are gonna pass so darn much, we might as well run a pro-set. What's the point of running the triple-option when we pass so much?
 
All the blame is on CPJ in my opinion. I don't blame Nesbitt, he is not doing well at all, but CPJ is putting him in that situation by forcing the guy to pass excessively.
 
You have to be able to run the ball. We haven't done that well at all. My problem with the passing game is that we always go for the homerun. Short and intermediate routes would do Nesbitt wonders IMO.
 
Well a couple, three 1st downs. One via air, 2 on the ground. Maybe we're finally coming around.

I stand by what I said. The excessive passing on 3rd down did not help us in this game tonight.

PJ has always said he calls plays based on what he sees and what the defense is doing. Sometimes execution is poor and sometimes the D coordinator outguesses him. But I don't remember seeing you complain about his play calling in the ugag game. If we had completed a few of those throws, or Josh had thrown on time, you wouldn't be whining now.

The reason I called you an idiot is that you're all over this board, in thread after thread, with the same rant over and over. Calm down, enjoy the win. I'm thinking tomorrow you'll want to take some of this stuff back.

So you think we should have run the ball on 3rd and long when it didn't work on 1st and 2nd down? You should really be calling the plays instead of CPJ.

There is some merit here. The Nesbitt keeper on 3rd and 9 didn't work greatly.
