What's the difference between CJ Spiller

You really think right now (15 minutes after the game) is the time to make a joke about the guy who just ripped us for 78 yards on 3 kick returns, 87 yards rushing, 69 yards receiving and a TD?

That dude was terrifying tonight.....

Yes. Yes I do, Huntrey. When you promote your kick returner who happens to play some on offense as a heisman candidate, with life-sized posters in tow at ACC media day, you deserve all the jokes that come your way.

So it's safe for them to joke about GT's Heisman candidate with his whopping 66 rushing yards and 3.7 ypc?

GTFan - are you kidding? Just because we won doesn't mean that Clemson didn't play a heck of a game and that Spiller wasn't great. Wipe off the gold and white paint, take a deep breath, realize we escaped with the "W" and that Spiller was really, really good tonight.

Spiller was the same as he always is. A good player who is a threat to take it the distance when he gets in space. Fortunately for us, it's usually just the threat. He gets heisman hype but doesn't give heisman-worthy production. I'm sorry if you or anyone else disagrees.

Yeah, Spiller is fast but not an every down back. There was a reason James Davis still got so much playing time until he graduated.

Dwyer can punish a defense over and over again for 5 yard gains when he gets a decent bit of space, which he didn't tonight. He can't also hit the home runs as needed, but that's tougher now with defenses keying their best people on him.

Maybe he's not a legit Heisman candidate. But it seems strange to me, the moment after we won a 50/50 game where our Heisman candidate played like dookie (for whatever reason...), to mock the candidate from the other team. And let's face it - Spiller outplayed Dwyer tonight. Sorry guys, a fact isn't blaspheme. I'll still take Dwyer over Spiller for the rest of the season, for the Heisman and as a pro, but Spiller had a better all-around game tonight.

I agree Spiller had the better game. I should have posted it before the game. Regardless, it was more a joke about the hype he was getting for a player who can't be an every down back. The Tech fanbase doesn't seem to be in a very light-hearted mood these days for whatever reason though, so I guess I should have expected a backlash. My bad.

Spiller was good.
Clemson lost.
He has no shot at the trophies he wants most - the H-man and the ACC POY.
Next.

So he's 5'11" and they made him 6'0"? Oh dear god. Are Bob Ley and the Outside The Lines boys not on the case yet? Were Woodward and Bernstein already booked?

Are you kidding? Who gives a blizzitty bleep? Why are you so effing concerned with how Clemson promotes their guy? I have news for you -- I doubt our guys are exactly the height and weight that we list them at....

Seriously dude. Take a chill pill. I don't know what you have stuck up your ass but it sounds painful. It was a joke, man.

Are you kidding? We won, now is absolutely the time to make jokes.

And for the record, I think everyone knows Spiller had the best game of any player tonight(except maybe Scott Blair.) But his team lost, and with the losses come the jokes. Those are the breaks.
