Steve in Arlington, Va., writes: Heather, sitting here watching the GT/Clemson game. I can't help but notice that GT's offense is the worst I've seen in years, far worse than VT's. There offense has basically accounted for 3 of the 24 points and now that Clemson has settled down, they are absolutely destroying the triple option. Assuming they lose (they are now losing 27-24), can we finally put to rest the notion that GT is some powerhouse in the ACC with some semblance of an offense? Their running game is average and their passing game - well I'm sure you are watching. Everyone needs to get a clue if they think that this joke will challenge the likes of Bud Foster's D. Don't insult his intelligence, ca'mon.

HD: Well, first of all, as we all know now they didn't lose. Second, I think Virginia Tech has been given credit lately as being the powerhouse of the ACC. Not sure you'll find many people who would dispute that, considering the Hokies have won three of the past five ACC titles. I don't think Georgia Tech's running game is "average," it just ran into a defense finally determined to stop it.

I think either ole' Steve is a little worried about the Jackets and the triple option.
