Hello? 1 TD and 1 FG in the 1st quarter, and 2 FG's in the 4th quarter... 7 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 16 points. Also, the fake FG TD was at the end of a 20+ yard offensive drive, overcoming a penalty in the process. Does our O not get nay credit for that? They get credit for the FG's their drives produce. How about just 4 points, since DT caught the pass? That's about 20 points. Not so bad all of a sudden, huh? Still lot's of work to do though.

the trick play td pass fake fg is also an "offensive" td since we were on OFFENSE when it happened. it doesnt matter that it was not the normal qb or that it was a fake fg, statistically it is an offensive score

Especially since the "normal qb" didn't throw for as many yards, TDs, or completion %.
 
Yep. Think about it. If Blair kicks the FG, it goes down in everyone's mind as a drive that led to 3 points. But somehow, since he threw a TD pass instead, the O didn't have anything to do with it.

I'm not sure why I had it in my head that Blair threw for more yards.:ugh: I think I was given misinformation and was too lazy to look it up or think about it for myself.

Don't worry, I'm not going GSU Taintlicker on you. I like Nesbitt and have faith in him to learn the passing game like he learned the running game during the course of last year. And I was glad when he celebrated after taking a knee in the victory formation.:biggthumpup:

I think the long pass is in his head. Last week he's gunning it too flat, and this week he's putting too much air under it. PJ just needs to get him into the shorter routes that he throws well. Reminds me of the posts we used to have about another mobile QB on the flats.

Nesbitt is smart, too. He's having growing pains with the passing game but I think he'll figure it out. Nesbitt's demeanor is like his coach's. Smart, confident, cool, tough.
