...the first day of the season that I will be able to do NOTHING other than:

  • sleep late
  • watch Gameday, even though it mostly sucks
  • Watch tons of other games all ****ing day long!
  • Drink beer
  • All with the satisfaction of knowing that Tech has already won!!!!!!!

Who should I pull for in the Miss St v Auburn game? On the one hand, I want Miss St. to look bad, but on the other hand, Auburn is a hated rival that competes with us for recruits, and if we can beat a Miss St team that beat Auburn, better for us! Another conundrum: Tenn vs UCLA.... Not sure whom to pull for...
 
It is possible to be an Auburn fan on one day only. Other than that, THWA.
 
Maybe only the others who are as old as me feel this way. 1985 still stings (THW Bo Jackson).
 
Reasons I like Auburn:

(1) They are UGA's oldest rival, ond one of UGA's three biggest rivals.

(2) I hate HATE Alabama.

(3) In terms of football programs, they are like the Alabama version of Georgia Tech. They will never be the most popular team in the state but they compete well and have great tradition.

(4) We beat them twice recently, so it gives Tech's program credibility when they succeed.

(5) I think their fans are generally reasonable and classy, especially compared to Bama and UGA fans.

I want USCw to win, big ten sucks.
 
I want to see UGAg get their asses kicked by USCe. Many of you say it can't happen, but you were the same ones that said they would kick OSU's ass. We'll see tomorrow. One thing I have noticed though is that USCe always looks like they want to win it more then UGAg. Hopefully they'll pull one through...
 
I'm enroute now. I was 2 for 2 in sanford last year. Bammer and GT. 316 is literally the worst road ever.
 
And anyone watching miss st v auburn should really reflect on the direction their life is headed.
 
All I'm saying is that I have never seen gnats67 and Lou Holtz together, in the same place and at the same time. That's all I'm saying.:biggthumpup:

Last Saturday, I set up the Football room in House of Burdell (aka the family room) and settled in to watch Oklahoma St put a midwestern-style butt whoopin on the fleabags. So its 3:30 and the stupid CBS affiliate up here in DC shows the Big 10 alternate game - I can't even remember who it was.

Damn I was not happy. So I coughed up the Gameplan money just to watch the game on PPV. Best $10 bucks or whatever the heck it cost me (I just kept hitting the BUY button and don't even know what I paid for it). But whatever I paid for it, it was money well spent. If I have to pay again tomorrow to watch USC whip the mutts then fine - I'll pay.

The next best thing to a Tech win is a Georgia loss.
 
I hope Tennessee beats the brakes off of UCLA. Whatever it takes to get them rolling well enough to destroy the mutts.
