"I think our O-line will be the most improved. You can just tell they're getting it."

Sam, do you still think so? No full line substitution and a lot of high blocking attempts in the middle of the 2nd to the last two drives in the 4th (by the guards and center) against Clem's Son. The only substitution was for Bedford when he got leg cramps.

Does CPJ have enough of his guys in yet?

I disagree. Our o-line is not very good. Any team with a good defensive line is going to eat us alive, but that can be said about most teams.

calling someone out about an optimistic prediction they made is dick... if he really wants to know how the guy feels about it, let him pm him.. not try to pants him in front of the board

this is a dick thing to do
killerbuzz, i dont understand, what is the thing I did that is dickish?

Was it watching the game in slow mo to see why we could not move the ball on the ground for more than half the game?

I do think the pass blocking was better than in the past, but we live on the BB dive option. That play was taken away by the CU DLine. If you dont believe me, go find CPJ's after game interview and listen to what he said.

For the TO to work, you must make the LOS move forward to give the QB a running lane. We did not do that.

No I think what he meant was that while it's fine to say our OL sucks you don't have to try and call someone out as a jackass while doing it.

I do think pass protection has improved. We certainly are passing the ball much more than we were a year ago.

GTLiebs, I didn't call him out as a jackass. I asked if he still thought so. It is a very valid question, asked in an appropriate manner. Not dickish, or jackassish.

So, Shout Out to RM...How do you think our OL did and will do?

I'll give you that, just kind of seemed that way cause I don't think I've seen a post like that since fall practice closed the public. Just my memory though.

As for our OL. They do need to get better at the run blocking thing but I'd also reserve judgment till I am sure they played for real for 60 min.

I've been around since the start, and you have to be the worst poster ever on this board. :D

I think our OL has vastly improved over last year. Count the number of times this year we have someone blocking from their knees. Or count how many times an OL has fired off the line to completely miss his target.

Pass protection has been better. Run blocking has been better.

I think our OL played Clemson better this year than last. This year Clemson didn't have a week of drama leading up to the game like last year.

Who has improved more? Nesbitt is better. Dwyer is the same (i.e. THE MAN). The A-backs have improved. WR are the same. DL is a one man show so far. LB's are improved. Safety is about the same.

I guess you could say that the corners have improved more than the line.

Boys, Our success depends on the Oline being able to get push on the LOS so the BB can get 4 yds every time. This means the LOS must move forward 18"+ every play.

I love JD & JN, but without the noted push, he only gained 78 yards (sorta ordinary). CU got their DL pad level lower than our gaurds and centers and we could not block the DEs, so says CPJ.

We did not substitute the OL, prolly becasue the back ups are not better. I think this should be a bigger concern to our coaches than Josh's passing ability. If we gain 4 yds every time JD touches the ball we win (and who cares about the passing). If not, we will not be able to throw enough to win every time.

I agree, but it's too early to say this will be a real issue yet. If our OL was manhandled as badly as it seemed they were, the coaches will see it and so the players will know it. What happens from there, we will see this Thurs.
