We are going to kick Miami's ass!

They are living on one decent showing against a questionable team that should've lost to Jax St. Last year, they deserved more hype than they have now and we kicked their ass. It will be no different tomorrow night!

I wish I could say that I agree with you, but I can't say that, because I do, but I am afraid to say it, because I hate having high expectations. Oh god, I don't know what to think. WWCPJD? Well, he would probably be supremely confident, but would probably make you read between the lines to figure that out. Hmmmmm. I think Miami has a great team and I think they'll give us their best shot. They are well-coached and will be ready to play. Just like they were last year.

I love when people make these easy rationals to juice them up. Our opponent almost beat their opponent so we should beat them badly.

Miami is a different team this year. New OC, New DC, a true entrenched QB and not a QB by committee, they are Pat Nixless, their defensive front seven are entirely different than last year. FSU is no slouch and they beat them at Doak Campbell stadium. GT has NEVER done that. NEVER.

I really want to believe that we will dominate them solely because PJ is our coach, but I really have no feel for this game one way or another. I think its a nail biter and hopefully we pull it out at the end. I'll be happy if I'm wrong and we blow them away.

This.

On paper - who knows.

Emotionally, Tech gets the edge. Miami overconfident and underestimating Tech while Tech still feels it has something to prove to itself and the nation.

+1

I'm worried and I have a bad feeling about the game.

This game reminds me of the Tech LSU game last year. Except that Tech's role is reversed.

Oh boy would it be great to hold them to three or less points. Can't wait.

If we win big, we may crack the top 10. I'm predicting upsets this weekend anyway.

This game reminds me of the UNC game last year. The week before, we dodged a bullet late and beat FSU, and then went on the road still full of emotion from that game. A win would have been huge, but instead we beat ourselves with slop. Hopefully, we won't do that again.

Except that this year we were expected to beat Clemson, had a huge letdown by letting it get close when we were WAYY out front and no one is patting themselves on the back for last week. It was a good test and we passed. We have another test tomorrow. I think we pass with flying colors. We are finally going to put it all together on offense and play for 4 qtrs.

I agree. 'Canes get thumped tomorrow. they are young and unquestionably athletic, but they are also undisciplined--and proud of it. And they have suspect leadership who resembles the Wayans brothers. We do need to score a lot of points, but I think we will. Miami's passing attack is going to be painful to watch as Harris dissects us, but I really think we will play a "bend-don't-break" defensive game, give up a lot of yards but relatively few points. We on the other hand will click with several backs having good games and the passing game will be decent, allowing for a damaging run game.
Jackets by 30.

Better be careful with the optimism, Yuke, lest the psople on the board who dislike you change their minds.

By the way, I'm staying at your house when I come down to watch GT in the ACCCG.

that works. but we won't be playing in that game. Come on down anyway.

This is all good and fine for Monday thinking (I think I typed something similar to it), but its the eve of gameday and there is only acceptable mindset: we are going to eradicate south florida of 22 thug pimpin bitches.

You had me going there till I read your last statement. I like your thinking though and I hope that you are right about that. I do think it is time for JD to break loose and for the offense to start clicking on a regular basis.

Don't know about our D yet but if we can keep them off the field a bit it should help.

To Hell with Miami. I don't wanna hear reasons I just wanna see ass being kicked.
