UGA grounds crew

I was there Saturday. Spent all day on North Campus in front of the Library (sic). After the game, it was a sight to behold. I was in shock.

Edit: Just read the pic caption. Law library is right beside the main one. That is where I was. Beautiful day to tailgate and TONS of scenery. I at least give them that, they know how to tailgate.

Funny story. I went to a UGA game six years ago with three uga fans (I eventually married one of them). At that time, they had paper trash cans everywhere. We tailgated and grilled before the game - it's un-American not to. Well, after the game, the coals seemed to be cooled off enough so I dumped them into the trash can. By the time we made it back around the campus towards the exit, they were still putting out the fire. :wow: One of the girls I was with, her father is a contributing season-ticket holder / alumnus. He still gets a kick out of telling his buddies that story.

I heard it was Twinkies and red Koolaid pouches.

The most common trash items found after 12pm kickoffs in Athens stem from this product:

Sonic used to sell pancakes on a stick (no chocolate chips though). Man, did I love them. Until...one day I pulled into the drive-thru, ordered one, and was told "we don't sell pancakes" They had removed the item from the menu and the people inside were clueless as to what this "pancake on a stick" thing was. 'Twas a sad day indeed.

Man this thread is making me regret making the decision to take my ASU-alum wife to the UGA game next Saturday night --I do not want to be amongst this crap ..nor do I care to miss the GT/UNC game that afternoon.

...just da##it to he77.

She wanted to go so I called up a friend of mine who is a UGA season tix holder, so we're going with him and his wife.

Of course this was set up prior to the schedules coming out --knew there was a chance I might have a conflict. The noon and 7pm kickoffs almost worked out for me --but it would be doable to make both games if Tech was the night game and UGA the noon game.
