Why is everyone freaking out?

Another reason everyone is freaking out, is because after 1 year of PJ's system a lot of the naysayers who were claiming that the offense was a high school offense and wouldn't work in the ACC, just got a BIG reason to come back out of the woodwork again. After a less than spectacular showing against our first two ACC opponents from an offensive standpoint on NATIONAL Television, has pretty much undone that year's worth of work. So instead of building on something, it's like we're starting over again.

At least that's my opinion of what is contributing to the 'freaking out'ishness behavior.

To add validity to that, I've already since last night seen an article where they claimed Miami beat us because Clemson provided the 'blueprint' to stop our offense.

It has a lot less to do with the loss itself than it does with us seeming to get exposed in so many facets of the game.

Agreed. It was pretty easy to get over the loss; pretty sure I was over it in the 3rd quarter. I'm certainly not over how crappy the team played. Didn't look like our guys were prepared for battle. It's going to take a convincing win for me to get over that aspect of the loss.

I don't know if this has been posted, but another HUGE factor in the game was Miami's def. coordinator John Lovett. He was a defensive asst. with UNC last season and we didn't do so hot that day either.

:bs:

Last year turnovers stopped us. We had a good offensive showing that day. Against Miami, our missed blocking hurt us more than the 'D'. He did not find some 'scheme' that stopped us this year. Miami just executed on both sides of the ball better than we did.

We handed UNC a big W on a silver platter with a muffed punt and fumbles as side items.

Same here. I have my doubts on whether or not we will take care of business against UNC, but if we do then I will start thinking positively again. Just as losing leads to a great deal of 'freaking out', winning will lead to good feelings.

An 85 yard td run with 6 mins to go and the game was decided was our only score. I don't call that a good offensive showing. Although people say this a lot. True turnovers cost us the game, but the O was not impressive.

Thank you. We rushed for 326 yards that day and had 3 turnovers. With the exception of the Dywer run, we were garbage. He can throw the bs flag all he wants.

Turnovers were bad, as were the two possessions in the first half where we turned the ball over on downs --on the 45 and 18 IIRC.

Wot TO? When did we run the TO? We were running the Oh **** all night long. And then CPJ decided to try and let Josh be Donavan McNabb. Who spiked his coffee? Dumbass penalties and a defense that was DOA and guess wot? You just don't understand the essence of losing. It sucks. We'll never be able to play this one over again. It's sealed in time. Forever.
