Great Southern Pigskin article about us

darn good article, one of the best I have read in a while. It doesn't take an idiot that PJ's offense is the victim of a double standard.

GT will just have to win out to prove the idiots wrong.

Well written and worth the read.

To bad we can't get a couple of Announcers/Sports Writers to realize half of what is written in this article.

"In today’s college football, fans want coaches fired after one bad performance, quarterbacks benched after one bad throw"

truer words were never spoken.
The triple option will come to life once again on Saturday, mark my words...

Good article.

I like the closer:

Georgia Tech fans, enjoy the many wins to come in the future. Paul Johnson is a tremendously successful head coach. Then again, you’ve probably already figured that out.

..because basically all of us here agree that the trip option hasn't been "figured out," and we're still on the PJ bandwagon despite the loss.

Great article, but here's what I can't figure out: How is the triple option going to help us keep the other team from scoring when they have the ball?

By keeping our Defense off the field longer. Hell they looked tired after the first SERIES against Miami. They need all the rest they can get.

Did you watch the Miami-Indy game last night? The way to stop an offense from scoring is to keep them on the sidelines. It doesn't work against Peyton Manning, but we only have to deal with the likes of TT and Joe Cox.

Many media members scoffed at the idea of Johnson’s option working in the ACC and have been waiting for moments of inconsistency to pounce on so they can prove themselves, the schematic football elite, right.

The schematic football elite are a bunch of a$$ clowns ...really, they are.

Great article. Wish every college football fan could read it. I wish they could all read.

I have yet to see a game where one of the teams never has the ball on offense. I believe in PJ's offense, but no matter how dominant the 3-O is, at some point we'll have to pressure the passer and cover somebody.

The pundits have discovered that an athletic, disciplined defense can stop an offense when no one blocks. BRILLIANT!

Heck. I'm sure everyone has figured out the under center spread option we run, or whatever you call it (we need another post on nomenclamenture). They've figured out the spread and pro style offenses too, well, maybe not Willie Martinez. Big whoop.

This is true, but I'll take a defense that has been on the sidelines resting for 8+ minutes vs the defense that just came off the field 1.5 minutes ago, to get that pressure and coverage.

+1. Particularly if we can finish those drives off with TDs, and keep putting pressure on Cox not to make mistakes. Let's wear out the other team's defense for a change. Through out the game, a succession of long scoring drives can begat other scoring drives as the opponent's D gets worn out as our offense gets clicking.

I'm really looking forward to the CPJ show this week. Which night is it this week?

Can't wait to hear what Coach has to say about last week and this week forward.
