So, Julian Burnett is going to start at LB this week

nice crouch video....we are so far away (on the lines at least). I think this will take some time but the building blocks are in place by making this state high school friendly towards Tech.

We got all the linemen we wanted for our option offense in last year's recruiting class. Too bad they're all R-Fr and True Froshes.

As for Wommack...reading his quote about our defense being "maybe the worst ever" he's seen in 12 years...that wasn't a huge confidence builder for me. We had to change something, I guess but I hated that WOLF thing all along. It's stupid.

Yeah, I guess the WOLF can't play football but he sure as hell can fight, win, drink...!!!

Wait a minute... Who invited Teen Wolf Too!?

Brad Jefferson needs to play defensive end! He reaked havoc at that position in high school; totally shut down one side of the field and made it hell for opposing QB's. He changed to MLB as a senior and, imho, did not look as natural as he did with his hand on the ground and owning the edge. He's a very powerful kid with good speed. He could be a real asset for us at DE, and we need that badly.

I'll bet money he was recruited to play Sam backer in the Tenuta scheme. That position fit Brad perfectly. Sam's job was to set a hard edge. And, oh yeah, to blitz about half the time and get after the QB.

That's just how I see it. I'm pulling for him to succeed and think he has some great skills that can be used somewhere for us.

great observation and its not like we couldnt use some fire on the edges and mix it up a litte!

Reid needs to start at the other corner and Tarrant needs to be playing safety. That's entirely screwed up in my opinion. Reid is NOT a safety, he's a boundry cornerback all the way. Tarrant plays Corner like a safety. If I can see this, why can't Wommack??

Tarrant played safety in HS. Putting him at corner in his first games in college really causes me concern about Womack. He doesn't have the quickness/speed to cover the 4.3 guys at corner that we have played.

Really? Which corners are faster than Tarrant? When I've watched him return punts, speed and quickness didn't seem to be a problem.

Exactly! If it was just speed, then Cooper Taylor would be all world.

If I hear any references to all world, SEC speed, etc., just ONE MORE TIME.... I swear... :D

Oh, I guess I won't comment on your speed in replying to the post you replied to.

Actually you took an hour so an SEC poster probably could have done it faster anyway.

I'm sure an SEC poster would have sacked my post
