Okay, can North Carolina beat Miami?

Back to UM and UNC - frequently a team's first loss of the year deflates 'em so maybe UM won't be as hard to beat for somebody, especially after their second loss to OU next week or whenever it is.

UNC can beat the U. This week shows teams can change from week to week. We sucked last week. VPI was very lucky. Today they were great. We were very good. The Heels and Miami sucked today.

The U may not be able get its swagger back yet once they get North of of the Ga/Fla border.

I just hope we are sofa king focused on MSU that we don't come out playing like crap. One game at a time.

Sadly, if there is a three way tie I think BCS rank is the tie-breaker. If GT, UM, and VT win out, do you think we'd be the highest ranked?

Depends on how badly we beat Georgia, honestly. We always have the best opportunity to finish strong of the three.

So, if we beat VPI
and
VPI and Miami and Tech are all 7-1 in the conference,
and
VPI and Miami each have ooc losses (Bama, Okalhoma) and we do not, (i.e. we are 11-1)
that means we rep the Coastal in the ACC, right?

Bottom line (if I understand the tie-breaker correctly): If Miami loses to Oklahoma, we control our destiny.

I normally pull for ACC teams playing out of conference, but if this is right GO SOONERS!

I see that UNC plays Miami at home, so they will not have to endure football on a baseball diamond. Of course by Nov 14 baseball is over, so they should have the infield grassed. That stadium looked like the worst excuse for a football field I've ever seen in D1 football. Go back to the Orange Bowl!
