I was pleasantly surprised.

80% chance of rain
12:00 kickoff
Last week's "performance"

I thought it would be a pretty sparse crowd. But we were there in force. Close in attendance to the Clemson crowd, with less visiting fans even. Not loud the whole game, but we were definitely loud when we needed to be...I left when it started pouring along with many many others, and could still hear the remaining crowd halfway across campus.

The remaining crowd was awesome. All the wine and cheese people left (not saying you're one of them) and everybody left was standing up and making noise.

I also want to say something to Section 218...I hate every one of you right now. I've never seen a more dead crowd in my life. Except for booing the refs at the end of the 1st half, I barely heard any noise from that section.

Sorry, I was not in 218 to make the noise. I usually have 3 there but was alone and managed to get a club seat. Don't worry I will be there for VT to bring the noise.

Move down to 111. All of us stood (and were loud) the entire game.

I more than made up for their lack of "noise". I will admit being super down all week after Miami, but get me on campus and all is well...I have no voice today but that is fine with me.....the Club Section was very loud....KUDOS CLUB SEC ONE!

Section 203 up top was rocking and by the end of the game very wet. Overall I was very pleased with the attendance. I hope against VThug we pack the house. If we go into that game doing well against MSU and F$U, we could really be rocking the Flats. Go Jackets!!

Yeah, we win those 3 and It will be nice when I am able to return stateside. I would be able to see two games vice just the Georgie game.

That's crap. I'm in 218, row 8, seats 22 - 25ish and I can tell you that all of the folks around me are pretty loud. I think your bitchin' just to be bitchin'.

BTW, I have a pulse watch that I got from REI. Not a bad health thing or anything, I just have a watch fetish. I have a hundred or so. Anyway, my pulse hit 153 at one point of the Clemson game. I am hoarse after every game.

You f****** sissy. My daughter and I stayed 'till the band played "The Horse." We got wet all the way through, and had a blast.

Damn wine-and-cheese fans.

Clapping in the rain had a pretty neat effect, seeing the droplets of water spatter everywhere. Exciting environment. I wouldn't have even complained it the entire game was raining and not just the last 4 minutes.

I like to watch.

Seriously, I just have a lot of watches. Some expensive. Some cheap. Some antique. I have a few favorites. I have some old Soviet stuff. Trench watches from WW1 and 2. Still have my grandad's Seiko from the early 70's. I bought an excellent antique Elgin not too long ago (from the 1920's). Not the most valuable collection in the world since some are not in pristine condition, but they are part of history and some have travelled a long way to end up with me.

I love how it seemed everyone at one time put on their poncho's. One guy sitting behind me put on a red poncho and everyone starting heckling him saying "Not Red!". Pretty funny stuff.

I put on my raincoat and about 5 minutes later realized it was not a rain coat at all, and perhaps more like a wind-breaker.

But oh well, Jackets won, so can't complain!

I promise I'm the opposite of wine and cheese.

I even stood at the top of the stairs by Gate 10 in the pouring rain to watch a couple plays before my girlfriend pulled me away. I normally stay till the very end, yesterday was the exception.

If my girlfriend tries that when we come to Atlanta, I am going to ask how she plans on getting back to Napoli.

Ahhh yes, that would be Eric. Took his kid to his first GT game Saturday. Eric is 6'4" (or more), about 350ish+. Was on his way to being a CFB football OL player until a career ending injury in HS. There are usually a few folks in front of us that are pretty good at being loud. I moved to 218 before it became the Jacket's Nest because it was a younger crowd.

I am thankful for the Jacket's nest because several years ago, I had seats in 218 and was just in a sea of red during the UGAg game. Miserable. Excellent marketing to get the red out of the lower sections of the upper north.
