PJ's Explosion

I could only imagine what Chan Gailey would have done in that situation.

Probably would've patted the refs on the back, told them good try and better luck next time.

Then he would've told our players some crap about how they can't be angry about that, they just have to move forward and forget about it, and this is all more important than winning because it's about having good CHARACTER... :puke:

Winking at the end of your dickish comment, does not in fact NOT make it a dickish comment.

Sorry we're late.... What seems to be the problem here?

can you imagine the interview afterwards? Instead of "THE REFS BLEW IT, THATS WHAT HAPPENED!" it would be:

"Now I don't know what the refs saw, but they're the officials so they deserve respect. We're gonna stay classy about this and go on back to the locker room and play a good half when we return... :blahblah:"

So what is the effective difference between the two coaches? Does either approach change the situation?

One fires up your players and lets them know you have a fire and passion to win the game, and the other lets your team know that you don't really have passion to see things get done.

*See the MLB manager getting ejected theory for correlation.
