I love how it doesn't matter how poorly Georgia played in their last game, people are tripping over themselves to preach the idea that Georgia has a legitimate shot to beat both LSU and Florida and make a magical run to the SEC Championship.

This morning, Steak Shapiro could barely find the words to express his elation at the idea that this could very well happen.

Quarterback not impressive? Defense spotty? Worrisome playcalling? Got a tough schedule coming up? Fear not! You're Georgia, and therefore entitled! Break out the black jerseys, Bulldogs! A media frenzy over your stellar play is only win over LSU away!

I hope you all are right -- but LSU has not been playing great yet. Friend of mine is a huge LSU fan, and they are concerned. What was supposed to be their strength this year (OL -- had 3 returning starters) has been a serious weakness this year, and their running game has been atrocious.

I hope Miles fixed some things this week in practice -- and the OL crushes the mutts.

I hope like hell that LSU destroys UGA, but I've seen LSU play and they are not impressive at all. I think UGA will win by 3... 17-14. LSU's offense is worser than UGA's honestly.

Same. The MSU-LSU game was doubly worrisome, but I'm hoping Miles has got his **** together in time to embarrass the mutts at home.

I'd still rather not play LSU in a bowl game at the end of the year. Ahh, maybe I'm just scared.

I'd love to rip them apart, but I need to have more confidence in our team's consistency before I can believe we would do that.

ha I just posted a thread opening with pretty much what you said...

this guy who writes for the AJC wan't afraid to say it: Georgia sucks, and it's gonna show this weekend. But like you said, even if it's a 221-0 loss (I don't want them to tie the record), it will still be about how UGA is having an off day...

And how it would never happen against a team outside of the SEC.

Delusional Georgia fans, fed by an idiotic, pandering local media? Preposterous!

What bothers me about this is not that the local rednecks consider this a big game, it's that the national media considers it a big game. The SEC bias is really getting thick, and ESPN is going to milk their new cow all they can.

Mainly their running game is not were it needs to be. Miles definitely has had this game circled since Uga whipped them at home last year.

Yeah, practically all my friends from HS are LSU alumni and huge LSU fans. Their running game is horrendous this year and fans are not too optimistic with what they are seeing. My dad (from New Orleans) was telling me that the radio was asking why they are ranked #4. Practically everyone called in wondering the same thing with a 4-0 Auburn team that is unranked, but of course, there were a select few who thought they deserved the ranking.

I have a feeling that LSU won't be winning this one. Both of these schools have inflated rankings at the moment, so even if UGA wins, it won't be that much of an accomplishment. Granted, the AJC will somehow tie in the fact that we lost to LSU and UGA beat them two years in a row if UGA wins.

Damn it I don't want them to win. I don't want to hear about how they're "just fine" without whats-their-names and I don't want everyone to forget their craptastic performances against Okie St and Arizona State.

Ok, whining session over....

I agree. LSU hasn't looked impressive. If they are that impressive, we are really going to have our hands full against Miss St. tomorrow.

I want revenge against those bastards. If I were DRad, I'd play them anywhere any time.

LSU would never agree unless it was a bowl game or that Chick-fil-a kickoff thing. They will try to limit the number of mid-upper level BCS teams they play so I wouldn't see it happening in the near future.

And now on 790, Brandon Adams is pitching a fit about the fact the people aren't impressed by the fact that the LSU-UGAg game is an SEC matchup between top 5 and top 25 teams. He wants everyone to declare this to be a huge game (When it's not, because neither of these teams will be relevant to the SEC or national picture in a couple of weeks) and give his mutts more attention.

Give me a break.

Yep. They understand the concept that a win against Random Crappy State University is much better than a loss to the #1 team in the country.
