Did anyone catch when Gary Danielson made fun of UGAy's radio team. He said they had over 9 guys working in their booth that is was the biggest in college football.
I wanted to tell them that's because they have to employ their failed players from the past.
Zeir, Green, Pollack, Bulter, Belue..
 
I've never heard the others, but listening to Belue and Zeir is an absolute nightmare.
 
From Larry Munson down to this group of goobers should be a total embarrasment to the University of Georgia. Zier and the jock sniffer who does the play by play are not even competent enough to do a high school game. I can see why Larry was ready to get the hell out of Dodge with that group hanging over his shoulder.

Radio team might be abysmal, but Buck Belue was qb for a national championship team. Not sure how that adds up to failure (even if he only completed one pass in the Sugar Bowl that year).

Re: the first name on your list, I don't have a clue how Zeier has his job. Terrible.

What did Pollack fail at?
 
I can't stand to listen to a UGA radio broadcast, all biases aside. Munson was kind of cool...maybe...just because he'd been there forever and UGA football was his life. I kind of understand how, after calling games (and pouring his life into UGA football) for what, 25+ years, when he started saying "we" to refer to the team....the new guys it's ridiculous. We take the kickoff and we take a knee in the endzone. We line up in the I, we run to the right, we run for a gain of two. Now we come out in the gun, we've got 2 guys split out wide to the right.....

It's just unprofessional. Listening to those assholes makes me appreciate Wes that much more.
 
I'm sorry, Pollack's a good kid who worked hard and got dealt a bad hand when he broke his neck, albeit earning a lot of guaranteed money in the process. If he played for Tech, we would consider him one of our favorite players. Sorry, you have to be a human being before being a Tech fan, and human beings don't cheer when somebody breaks their neck. Only Eagles fans do that crap (cough...Michael Irvin...cough).

Nobody is cheering because he broke his neck. Just saying that in the overall view of things, he won't go down as one of the great DE's of pro football. Our own ELI fits this description. One of the 2 or 3 best running backs in college he tore up his knee I believe early in his pro career and never made much of an impact.
 
Ramblin, so are you calling ELI a failure? Dem's fighting words. ;)

I agree Pollack will not go down as one of the great DE's of all time -- sincerely doubt he would have even without his injury. But I am just saying I do not like to call an injury a failure.
