I woke up this morning at 8:15. Turned on ESPN. Have been watching for 45 minutes. I have seen college highlights from only the Florida LSU game and the lame Texas and OU games. Nothing seen yet from our game. I have seen more NFL and MLB coverage than CFB coverage.

Another network has to step up NOW to be the premier college football network because Sunday mornings, when I want to get a recap of all the CFB games in highlights, ESPN is only showing NFL previews.

More painful than this was enduring their coverage during the lightning delay -- did anybody on their staff say anything cogent about our team? Hell no, it was Bobby this, and Bobby that and a bunch of crappy live-look-ins. No preparation; no professionalism.

Nope they just finished at 0900 hrs and no GT, they must not want to offend Rev Bobby on a Sunday.

Well, so far this year we have been the "Washington Generals" for
"Miami Coming Out Coming Back" Night
and
the "St. Bobby Lovefest and Requeim"

What does VT have going special next week? I hope Beamer doesn't have a sick grandkid or Bud Foster doesn't find a Jewish grandmother he didn't know about who survived the Holocaust or something.

"Tyrod Taylor Super Duper Guy Laying the Groundwork for a Heisman Next Year and Let's Gush Over Him Because HE doesn't Like to Kill Dogs For Fun As Far As We Know" Night will probably be nauseating enough.

It has been like watching "Rudy" and "The Program" back-to-back.

Yeah, I saw a million and a half highlights of our loss to Miami on ESPN. But of our 5 wins? Nothing. They showed Texas vs. Colorado?? Why?

Now that chubby bastard is on talking about Outside the Lines. Who cares about the stupid Outside the Lines bit. They should have college football recap on right now.

The play with Nesbitt ripping the ball back from the defender should be a top 10 play. As I said in another thread. If it was Favre doing it, they would have made an entire show devoted to him ripping the ball back from the defender.

I guarantee you nobody watched a more exciting game than us Tech fans yesterday.

I hate everything.

the post game news conf was on espnnews and davies was very complimentary while advertising for the VT game which he is also calling

Point being if Teablow had made that play they'd be creaming over him for the rest of the year. I'll spot the SEC has a couple of top teams, but once you get past those 2 you've got a blend of mediocrity that's not unlike the ACC. Hell, Vandy just go spanked at home by Army- remember the team that ducked us because they ended up sending half the team to the hospital after the game & they were fearful of running out of 2LT's in Iraq & Afghanistan.

OMG if Tebow did it, it would have secured the Heisman for him.

Because people care about Miami, Texas, and (especially) Favre. They care about Bobby Bowden because it's a train wreck. No one cares about a middle of the road ACC team like us. Until we start making some noise on the national scene, it will stay like this.

There's no "fairness doctrine" for ESPN. They just show what makes them money.

It has bacome a slight improvemnet. Our offense alone gives us national attention. We just have to show that we belong there.

We were on last night's 1:00 AM SportsCenter. They also showed The Theft (has that name been agreed upon?) two times.

In the late Sportscenter last night (as soon as our game was over), we were featured. They "Expressed" through the South Carolina and UGA games, only showing one play and the score along the bottom, while showing full highlights for ours.

We have a seriously sensitive fanbase...

If we were the #1 team in the country, or if Nesbitt had won the Heisman his Soph. year, I'm pretty sure they would have featured it a lot more, too. Also, did y'all see that player in the Oregon-UCLA game? The defensive end leaped, intercepted the pass, and got his foot down just inside the end zone.

I went to sleep when the game ended. I woke up at 8. Started watching SC at 8:10. No mention of our game.
