Almost sold-out!

It is loud. I thought Clemson was a little louder though. Have you been to Baton rouge?

Have not been to Baton Rouge - but I've been to Clemson several times. The 31-7 loss (College GameDay) competes with Lane but overall I don't think Death Valley is louder.

Death Valley is so loud that you can honestly feel the noise. It's almost too darn loud to enjoy the game.

Have you been to Lane Stadium in Blacksburg?

Nope. But I know that it never created an earthquake like LSU's Death Valley.

Here is the wikipedia article on the "earthquake game."

I would like to go to a game at Lane Stadium, but haven't gotten around to yet.

I think it is a majority tech fans buying these tickets.I know a lot of tech fans that have bought tickets to the game on Saturday that normally do not come. Just goes to show you what putting a product on the field that people believe in does for your program.

Definitely. If what CPJ is doing doesn't get people excited enough to come to games, then I don't think anything will.

If I thought you were being sly, I'd say you were leaving it ambiguous as to which tech :D

Just joshin ya though

I'm well aware of the "Earthquake" game at Tiger Stadium. I haven't been to LSU yet, but I've been to 2/3 of the SEC stadiums, all of the ACC, plus Notre Dame. I agree with ContactBuzz, Lane is the loudest I've seen in person.

Saturday night was my 4th visit to Doak Campbell Stadium. Weakest home crowd I've ever seen there in Tallahassee. Back when they were really cooking in the 90's, I think they had the best home field advantage in the country bar none....

You definitely have to take a trip to Tiger Stadium one day. As I said, I really want to take a trip up to Lane Stadium. I would like to go to all the ACC stadiums (not Miami's though).

You guys have no clue if you think thet VT's fanbase is like ours... These people are what we should aspire to be. They're great fans, they travel well, they sell out all of their home games, and they always support their team even in bad times. They're some of the best, most loyal fans out there!

If I am ever anything like the VThug fan please shoot me in the head. It is the biggest redneck fanbase in college football. I live in Virginia and have grown to hate there fanbase more then UGA. The only reason they sell out all there games is because they can not afford to get cable in there trailers. Despise them!

I'm still scared of the things I saw at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. I've never in my life been to a game so loud. It was 3 hours of a constant roar (especially w/ the Mike the Tiger growl after a TD.)

LSU does have a very nice campus as well.
