J. Darin Darst, Producer:
Both teams are starting to hit their stride, especially on offense. Virginia Tech has found a running game to go along with its defense and special teams, while Georgia Tech's option is clicking since the Miami game. This is a huge game in the ACC race, but I'll stick with the Hokies. If Miami's defense can stop the Yellow Jackets, Virginia Tech can too.
Prediction: Virginia Tech 27, Georgia Tech 17
Dennis Dodd, Senior Writer:
It's a quesiton of whether you believe Georgia Tech will duplicate the effort it had against Florida State. Virginia Tech actually has a defense and an improving
quarterback. Since throwing that bomb to beat Nebraska, Tyrod Taylor has completed 68 percent of his passes, averaged 14.6 yards per pass and thrown six touchdowns in three games and change. Prediction: Virginia Tech 36, Georgia Tech 27
Jason Horowitz, On-Air Talent:
What's the best way to win a tough game on the road? Bring along a good defense. Virginia Tech's defense is coming off a dominant performance, while the Ramblin Wreck is broken down. Georgia Tech can motor down the field, but like that 1930's car, it isn't fast enough to catch up to anything if it gets behind (example Miami).
Prediction: Virginia Tech 27, Georgia Tech 20
Johnny Rosenstein, Editor:
If the Hokies win here, the ACC Coastal title is pretty much decided. They would be 4-0 in the ACC with victories over Georgia Tech and Miami, and their remaining ACC schedule -- UNC, Maryland, NC State and Virginia - looks to be smooth sailing. Look for Virginia Tech RB Ryan Williams to have a field day.
Prediction: Virginia Tech 34, Georgia Tech 26
What do you guys think? I inserted angry faces and bolded everywhere that I thought was dumb.
