Buy up the tickets

Aren't those tickets for non-Tech sections though? That's what it said the last time I checked.

You would've probably hated coming between 83-86 then. I remember one game we had maybe 27,000 there and we had a winning record.
 
Fair point mover.... I went to the Auburn game in 85 or 86 and sat in the old North endzone. Felt like Auburn fans outnumbered GT fans by a fair margin.

Good to know that things are headed in the right direction and the atmosphere inside BDS has improved leaps and bounds since the mid-90's.

We are selling more game tickets on average now (~50K) then the old stadium configuration (around 42 or 43K) could field if completely full. The GT fanbase continues to grow, albeit at a smaller rate then some of the other ACC/SEC programs around us.

I, too, saw the GT-AU game at Historic Grant Field (no BDS@HGF in those days) in 1985 from the North Endzone. And . . . I still feel sick when I hear that game mentioned. Bo Jackson, student body left, 80 yards, ball game. What makes it worse is those late-hitting sunsabitches put #20 out with a cheap shot on the West sidelines when we were moving the ball pretty well.

Also saw the 86 game at Jordan Hare where we made it interesting at the end, but the 85 game still bothers me to this day more than any of the mid-90s Ray Goff victories over my Jackets.
 
They are non-TECH tickets... TECH is an acronym (its on ramblinwreck.com). The tickets out now are non donation based tickets. They are face value tickets. Its not that they are VT tickets.

we take care of business and Ugag again this year and the legend cpj will grow and our fanbase will pick up steam, cheap steam in my opinion, but steam none the less
 
I have heard the rumor that the tickets left are tickets given back by VT for not selling their allotment, is there any truth to this? I kinda find this hard do believe.

Good point. I had forgotten that they had already been to Atl once this year. That is probably a factor. Well, that and since they think they are going to the championship game, they are saving up for that...

Me neither! I can boo with the strength of 10 students as well. When VT comes onto the field, the refs make a bad call, or anything anti-GT happens, I can vibrate the stands with my boos. People always turn around and try to figure out where it's coming from when I start booing. My fiance compared it to sitting beside a subwoofer.

Point is, I want to be there :biggthumpup:
 
Surely everyone who wants to be there can scrounge up $50 to go to the biggest game at BDS in several years. It's really not all that much...just skip eating out for a couple weeks.

My 350z is an '03 and my gf has a 2010 Armada Platinum edition and they've been great. I won't buy anything but Nissan from now on. What did you buy?

If you really want to be there you can make it happen. This is the biggest game at BDS in a long time.
 
Just bought 2 from RR.com 5 mins ago. Very few sections still had tickets available. Ended up having to get 2 in Sec 201 :(.
 
I can't believe people are complaining about having to attend:

- tickets are too much. Be happy you can get in the gate for face value. The same can't be said for most big time programs especially with a top 10 opponent coming in.

- Seats aren't in a great location That's what you get for buying at the last minute. Believe it or not, you're not going to get 50 yard line seats when you buy <48 hrs before the event.

- The metal bleachers irritate my vagina
 
Contact, don't make fun of people for buying late while asking people to buy late... We gotta be happy that they are filling this stadium up. Saturday is HUGE!
 
I don't think there are too many bad seats. Worst I could think would lower tier near 10 yard line to endzone. I get student tickets and I choose to sit in the upper north endzone and its a great view of everything. I think you can see more higher up. Granted I can't make out the expressions on the football players but oh well. Not going to do that unless I'm watching it HD at home.
