I think even Tennessee who SUCKS would go with 1 loss on this schedule. Bull ****, Boise should NOT be in the national championship.

You just watched them play and you've seen them play legit competition before, why not judge them on their skill and not their schedule? It's not their fault people don't like to play them and the WAC sucks. Boise State definitely deserves to play in the title game. They've had to work toward this for years.

It is their fault,
Don't freaking go schedule Utah St. and Toledo out of conference, give me a freaking break.

It not being their fault is beside the point. I have long stood up for boise and wanted them to play big boys. But playing for a national champ is another thing.

We have no freaking clue how good VT is. My personal belief is that you don't know how good a team is until around week 3-4. If they do go I hope Boise gets absolutely destroyed. Destroyed as in "Boom mofo, go back to your gay blue field, lay face down, cry, and don't try again for about ten years."

On a side note, it is completely unfair to teams who play legit competition all year, I don't care if they look good, it is not freaking fair. Play 4 GOOD teams in your non-conference then maybe we'll talk. Maybe.

Another reason pre-season polls are bull and utterly useless other than for hype.

May I point out this link??? http://www.idahostatesman.com/2009/11/04/960289/wac-boss-boise-state-struggling.html

Several high-profile programs have turned down a chance to play a home game against Boise State in 2011, WAC commissioner Karl Benson said Tuesday.
Boise State - with help from ESPN, Benson said - has been shopping for a game to fill out its 2011 schedule.
Benson isn't sure of the exact number of schools that have said no, but figures it is close to 10. The Broncos aren't asking for any games in Boise in return, he said.

So, even despite asking for away games, they cannot get anyone to take them up on it. So I DO NOT blame Boise for their weak schedule.

Then why even play a title game? If all we care about is team skill, we can get that from watching.

We like championships to be earned on the field. While I don't think anyone can argue that Boise doesn't have the talent to compete with anyone, they won't be earning it on the field this regular season. They'll play two tough games and everyone else will play seven or eight.

Where 1 game can spell the end to a national championship, especially if you lose to a non-BCS school, schools just are not willing to schedule Boise State. hell, do you think Tech would want to schedule Boise for a home game instead of MTSU? I am betting not.

If Notre Dame or WVU had Boise State's achievements of the last 2 years, they'd be hailed as universe-beaters and would the be preseason #1, and they have 2-game schedules too.

21 of 22 starters returned from a BCS bowl winner that also beat the Pac10 champ during the 2009 season. They beat #10 in what was practically a VT home game 3 time zones away to start this year. If you don't think they deserve to go, then you have to reconsider laying claim to the 1990 national championship for Tech. We went undefeated, but over what eventually turned out to be a 2-game schedule, including the bowl game. Boise has been earning it for 3 years now.

I hate BSU. As much as I hate them, they seem to pull off big win after big win each year and seem to have a knack of preparing for *one* big game, either the opener or a bowl. That's why you dont play them in the opener. You play them mid-season. If BSU played a top 10 team in mid season, like the rest of us have to, I'd give them their props. Right now, I only give them props for preparing for big games after a long layoff (good coaching).

I bet CPJ would be very willing to do so. Let's do it.

This. I am of the same mindset.

They can't get 4 good teams to play them. Last year their AD offered to play anyone, anywhere with no return trip, and they didn't get any takers.

They did what they could when they decided to go to the MWC, but then BYU and Utah decided to leave so it looks like they'll largely be in the same situation (except with an annual game against TCU).

If they run the table this year, they'll be riding a 27 game winning streak and be 39-1 since the start of 2008, with the only loss being by 1 point to TCU in a bowl game. If you put up those kinds of numbers, I don't care what your schedule is - you've earned a shot at a title.
