It's Shreveport.

I don't get why this is so bad... we're 6-6, and Air Force is good enough to be considered a legit opponent while not so much as to scare us into anticipating a losing season

yeah I mean it's not like they took Oklahoma down to the wire in Norman.........27-24 Oklahoma

their losses are @ San Diego State by 2 who played very well in MWC play, @ TCU obviously, and home against Utah by 5.

We are playing a much better team than ourselves this bowl game

This. I would like to play Air Force, but Shreveport is probably the worst site for a bowl game in the US. Cajun can attest for this if he's reading.

I can think of worse locations, like Boise, Idaho; and old ACC favorite. Then there's El Paso, if Shreveport is too far to travel you'ld love El Paso (plus the added advantage of catching a stray bullet from the Mexican drug wars). I would prefer the MCB; but Shreveport isn't the nightmare you guys are making it out to be.

They are a good team, but just FYI, the game in Norman was 27-10 with 6:00 to play. Air Force is much more beatable than say....Boise State IMO.

And now the media can use that ridiculous line about "Tech practicing against the option every day" as if scout teams have never existed.

Wow. We are 6 - 6 (1 - 4 last 5 games) and some are griping about our bowl game?

Some of these folks are reminding me of those from this time last year saying no way should Iowa have a chance at playing us.

Thank the Lord we aren't going to DC of queerfrisco to play. Wish we could have gone to Nashville but thems the breaks.

Maybe we can focus on winning a bowl game, getting better, building for next year and getting some reserves some playing time.

+1. Beggars can't be choosers. And how some of y'all have the nerve to complain about the location of the bowl when don't even show up to the home games is beyond belief.

What's the word on Nesbitt's arm? Is he expected to be back in ship shape for December 27th? It would be nice to let Nesbitt end his GT career here with a Bowl win.

Unless you are giving free bargain tickets, I don't think ticket purchasing fans are beggars, but in fact customers.

I live about 5 hours from Atlanta and made it to five home games and the uga game, can I bitch? It was a fun season though, fyi - nothing takes away the pain of a loss like dinner and booze at Dante's. I figure shreveport will be fine, people on here say there's gambling, I assume you can still get booze in Louisiana too. It is a 13ish hour drive for me... hmm.

I just bought my tickets for Shreveport... if you are a season ticket holder or have AT points, the first 5,000 are being sold for $14...

There is lots of gambling in Shreveport, but as "cities" go, it's a dump of a town.

Should be a great match-up between two all too rare, legit D-1 programs.

Days may get to run a version of the TO against our 1st team D. May also provide some no.1 O vs no.1 D practice time.

Wonder how the network is gonna have time for the commercials!? Game will probably last about 2 hours.

Shreveport has better weather and is in a much bigger college football area than D.C. Anyone have the payouts?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_college_bowl_games

Last payouts are listed for all bowls.

Independence pays more than Military. The Kraft Bowl some people were wanting it really crappy.

The pecking order is by payout, not whether people want to travel there.

I also keep repeating for good measure that you CAN fly to within an hour of Shreveport for about the same price as Dallas (Longview, TX.) That is not that far as some city airports are that far from downtown anyway.

Wondering why mapquest says it is a 10-11 hour drive and GTAA is claiming it is an 8 hour drive on the website.;)
