Gus Malzahn at Vandy

You're probably right. Sounds like he acknowledges that Newton is the reason his offense looks so good. If he sticks around and his offense tanks, he probably isn't getting any calls at all.

Every college he's coached (Arkansas, Tulsa, Auburn) has been in the top 15 in adjusted yards-per-play every year he's been there.

5 pages and nobody is mentioning the parallels of a school with academic standards limitations going with a coach with an atypical offense to make up for it?

It doesn't matter. Vandy attracts (always has and always will) the same level of talent that Navy and Army does. Of course Vandy's schedule is 10x tougher. That equates to sub .500 seasons almost every year no matter who is coaching.

I wouldn't mind a dead-end job making 2 Million a year.

They should go after Dan Hawkins now.

Or Monken at Georgia Southern. He turned GSU around the same way CPJ turned GT around. GSU has a legit shot at a National Championship in his first year.

Vandy needs to run an offense that's atypical.

Vandy is the perfect school to run an offense like ours. They don't get the "five star" recruits that can make a pro-style offense run so well, but they get guys that would excel in an offense that takes advantage of undersized, athletic linemen and dual threat QBs.

He just turned Vandy down. Smart man!

He probably used Vandy to get a nice pay raise at Auburn.
Dumbass.

He's going to look like an idiot again next year when he can't call the "Cam Newton Carrys Eight Defenders On Another Obvious QB Draw" play anymore.

I mean I don't know, he did a pretty good turnaround for Auburn's offense when he first came in last year, before Newton. Granted that might of been really easy when the offense he was in charge of orchestrated a masterful 3-2 victory of Miss St the year before that.
